The Apprentice is responsible for supporting work in accordance with established processes and practices and complying with internal and external requirements including but not limited to environmental, health and safety, security, and fire protection.\nA career at BGIS offers competitive total compensation that includes:\nCompetitive wages \nPAID vacation\nPAID SICK days \nPAID FLEX days for personal use\nCompetitive health and dental benefits\nPension contributions match program\nUniforms - 100% paid by Company\nTools provided by the Company (excluding basic hand tools)\nCompany provided vehicle \nKEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES\nInstallation & Troubleshooting\nAssists in installing air conditioning, heating, and related equipment and components.\nSupports overhauls and servicing of air conditioning and heating units and systems.\nHelps repair, replace, and adjust worn or broken HVAC parts.\nAssists with repairs and adjustments to valves, piping connections, fittings, and couplings.\nLearns to diagnose and troubleshoot problems with heating and air conditioning units and systems.\nAssists in installing motors, thermostats, and humidistats.\nMaintenance\nPerforms work under supervision in accordance with established processes and practices.\nComplies with all internal and external requirements including environmental, health and safety, and fire protection.\nResponds to routine and on-demand service requests and assists with preventative and corrective maintenance activities.\nParticipates in regular monitoring, inspection, and maintenance to ensure facility uptime and safety objectives are met.\nAssists in implementing preventative maintenance (PM) programs and ensures deficiencies are recorded and escalated.\nMaintains accurate inventory of assigned tools/equipment and arranges for repair and replacement where required.\nClient Relations\nProvides observations about facility mechanical conditions and deficiencies under supervision.\nAssists with facility-related projects.\nAdministration\nEnsures work is performed in compliance with corporate and legislated policies and guidelines.\nMaintains all assigned tools and arranges for repair and replacement where required.\nSubmits all expenditures on a timely basis.\nOther duties as assigned.\nKNOWLEDGE & SKILLS\nHigh school diploma or equivalent;
