The team is dedicated to inspiring better business performance and helping clients focus on their core businesses.\nThe Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing predictive and preventative maintenance on mechanical and building systems including HVAC pumps, motors, valves, and chilled water distribution systems. The Maintenance Technician demonstrates BGIS values in communication with clients and other team members.\nKey Duties and Responsibilities\nClient Service\nRespond to client service requests.\nMonitor service requests in work order management system\nDemonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain positive and professional working relationship with internal and external clients.\nRespond to off-hour emergency calls.\nWork with vendors and contractors to monitor and ensure work meets BGIS and client standards.\nContribute to the completion of other key initiatives assigned.\nMaintain Building Systems\nInspect buildings, grounds, and equipment for unsafe or malfunctioning conditions.\nAssist with ancillary building systems necessary to keep systems operating at peak performance with minimal downtime.\nMaintain facility equipment as indicated by preventative maintenance plans.\nProvide general building maintenance and perform routine maintenance tasks.\nTroubleshoot, evaluate, and recommend upgrades.\nOrder parts and supplies for maintenance and repairs.\n Forward high-level technical maintenance to appropriate resource.\nKnowledge and Skills\nHigh School Diploma or GED equivalent.\nOne year of experience with building/facility operations or training equivalent.\nExperience or knowledge of maintaining building infrastructure is preferred.\nExperience in mechanical/electrical service, install, or repair is preferred.\nStrong communication skills with verbal and written messaging.\nAbility to work independently and contribute positively to teamwork.\nProblem Solving approach to review potential solutions and provide timely client service.\nBasic computer knowledge of Microsoft Office.\nPhysical Demands and Work Environment\nTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. \nAbility and willingness to travel.\nRespond to off-hour emergency calls.\nWorking at heights training/certification preferred.\nOur company culture includes a robust mix of sound business practices and employee initiatives that promote personal and professional development, work/life balance, health and wellness and community involvement.\nBGIS offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, prescription coverage, health savings account, flexible spending account (both healthcare and dependent), 401(k) with a Company match, Paid Time Off, paid company holidays, short term and long-term disability, life insurance, employee assistance program, tuition reimbursement, paid parental leave, gym membership discount and team member referral bonus.\nThe Company is an equal opportunity employer.
