Further information is available at www.bgis.com\nSUMMARY\nThe Security Clearances Coordinator will support the BGIS security program in compliance with Infrastructure Ontario corporate and government policies and directives.\nKEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nSecurity Clearance and Access\nProcess clearances for those BGIS Team Members and contractors requiring access to Government of Ontario information, assets, or work sites and ensure that accurate and complete personnel security screening documentation is submitted for such coworkers.\nTake ownership and drive compliance for Internal & Vendor applicants approaching clearance expiry.\nProactively contact applicants to provide reminders regarding upcoming clearance expiry dates and required renewals.\nAssist applicants in completing system submissions accurately and efficiently.\nEnforce compliance with all Infrastructure Ontario (IO) clearance requirements and protocols.\nCollaborate and communicate with Security Specialists regarding incoming applications and status updates.\nReporting and Documentation\nProvide change of circumstance reports for personnel when required. \nEnsure required documentation is submitted in order to terminate the clearances of those coworkers and contractors who no longer require access to Government of Ontario information and assets or controlled sites in accordance with contractual requirements. \nMaintain a current list of security screened coworkers, suppliers and contractors in accordance to BGIS and Government of Ontario guidelines. \nEnsure that personnel security screening files are properly safeguarded. \nMaintain detailed and accurate records of all communications, including dates and times, to ensure full traceability and audit readiness.\nEscalate issues, risks, or non-compliance matters to Managers and Directors in a timely and appropriate manner.\nOther\nPerform additional duties and responsibilities as needed.\nHave a good understanding of the Security requirements at each specific location.\nProvide general administrative support and perform other related administrative duties as required.\nKNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS\nRequires three (3) to five (5) years of administrative experience.\nExcellent computer skills, proficient with MS Office.\nHighly organized and able to multi-task.\nStrong time management skills and organizational skills.\nMust be dependable, responsive, customer-focused and possessing the qualities of diplomacy, tact, excellent judgment, discretion and initiative and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.\nMust be able to obtain and maintain a BGIS criminal background clearance. \nMust be able to obtain and maintain Infrastructure Ontario OPS and OPP clearance.\nKnowledge of corporate and Government of Ontario security policies and directives an asset.\nDemonstrated ability to effectively communicate information to various audiences and all levels of the organization, both verbally and through written communications. \nMust be dependable, responsive, customer-focused and possessing the qualities of diplomacy, tact, excellent judgment, discretion and initiative and perform in a multi-tasked and dynamic environment.\nRequires the ability to make sound decisions, manage time, take independent action, analyze problems and provide focused solutions. \nLicenses and/or Professional Accreditation\nHold (or willing to and able to obtain) Infrastructure Ontario OPS and OPP security clearance.\nThis is a full-time, contract position with a salary range of $24 - $26 per hour.
