  • Assist with marketing brochures by creating marketing blacklines, and review renderings and literature as they relate to design.
  • Serve as the primary liaison with Construction teams, trade partners, and municipal authorities to resolve drawing, code, bylaw, permitting, and application-related questions and ensure project requirements are met.
  • Coordinate and review with Architectural Controls to ensure drawings meet requirements.
  • Support showhomes and prototypes by reviewing onsite construction issues, identifying drawing impacts, coordinating required revisions, and supporting resolution with Product Development, Construction, consultants, and trade partners.
  • Attend scheduled meetings including, but not limited to, operations meetings, Sales/Construction meetings, Product Development meetings, and framing walkthroughs.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve business practices, drawing workflows, and Planbook processes to support accuracy, consistency, operational efficiency, and speed to market.
  • Seek out opportunities to reduce costs through design specification changes and/or product while maintaining or improving Customer Experience standards.
  • Collaborate proactively to support a strong, solution-oriented mindset across all teams.
  • Maintain and enhance relationships with external consultants while overseeing Alberta design standards, guidelines, templates, and drawing practices to ensure consistency, quality, and compliance across Calgary and Edmonton projects.
  • Keep current on Alberta code, bylaw, and industry changes. This includes, but is not limited to, attending industry seminars, information sessions, PHBI courses, product demonstrations, and engineering sessions.

What You'll Bring:

  • Extensive knowledge of residential construction, building codes, and regulatory requirements, with demonstrated experience preparing and maintaining residential production drawings and master plan sets using Revit and related design technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience reviewing drawings for completeness, coordination, accuracy, and construction readiness.
  • Ability to interpret product direction, design intent, code requirements, and cross-functional input and translate them into clear, coordinated construction documentation.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, manage multiple priorities, and work both independently and as part of a team.
