Managing cost accounting, controls, and reporting for their respective projects falls under the Development Manager’s duties.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDirect consultants in production planning, design management engineering.\nConstruction oversight for Civil infrastructure.\nRegulatory approval monitoring, ensuring timely permit issuances.\nNegotiate and administer contract obligations.\nReporting of operations activities to senior managers.\nInternal business plan contribution, forecasting sales, starts and closings.\nInvolvement in financial underwriting including baseline budgetary projections and pro forma updates through the life of a project.\nCollaboration with other departments in submitting internal approval packages.\nManagement of job cost and cash forecasting, including the associated reporting\nMonitoring consultant and contractor performance to expected results.\nMaintaining positive relationships with partners and customers.\nBuild and maintain relationships with approving authorities and regulators\nMaintain positive relationships with consultants and contractors, initiating corrective actions and change process when required.\nMaintain and foster open and knowledgeable communication with consultants, contractors and community Residents.\nAd hoc support to Senior Management for technical studies, product development and solutions to support sales and land acquisition initiatives\nRegular monitoring and inspection of the following:\nAll construction sites conditions of erosion control & sediment devices on showhomes and raw land.\nWhat You'll Bring:\nA diploma or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Planning, Architecture, or Business.\nA minimum of 5+ years experience in land development.\nAn aptitude and passion for the land development industry, construction, project management and cost control.\nProven commitment to continuous learning is required.\nStrong relationship building, negotiation, problem solving, and organizational skills\nProficient computer skills\nAdvanced critical thinking and problem-solving skills\nEffective communication skills; ability to communicate with customers, team members and external partners\nAbility to prioritize work and manage multiple competing priorities\nDetail oriented with strong organizational skills\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nValid Driver’s License required\nWhat We Offer:\nCompetitive compensation and total rewards package.\nExcellent extended medical, dental, and vision benefits beginning day 1.\nRRSP program, contributions begin on day 1.\nCareer development programs.\nPaid Volunteer Hours.\nPaid parental leave.\nFamily planning assistance, including IVF, surrogacy and adoption options.\nWellness and mental health resources.\nPet insurance offering.\nA culture based on our values of Passion, Integrity, Community!.\nThe above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed.
