This role provides critical analytical support across investment, fund, and corporate-level decision-making within a fast-paced real estate environment focused on single-family rental (SFR) and build-to-rent (BTR) portfolios. The position supports valuation processes, financial forecasting, and ad hoc analysis while contributing to the accuracy and scalability of financial reporting tools and models. This role requires strong quantitative skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a high-growth environment.\nEssential Job Functions\n1. Functional Responsibilities\nBuild, maintain, and enhance financial models for cash flow projections, fund performance, and corporate financial analysis\nPerform return, sensitivity, and scenario analyses to support investment and portfolio decision-making\nAssist with general and administrative (G&A) forecasting and financial planning activities\nSupport fund performance analysis and exit strategy modeling\nDevelop and refine Excel-based financial models using automation tools such as VBA or R where applicable\nExtract and analyze data using SQL or other data query tools as needed\nPerform ad hoc financial analysis and reporting as requested by leadership\n2. Operational / Departmental Support\nAssist in preparation of recurring financial deliverables, including fund and corporate performance reporting\nSupport monthly and quarterly reporting cycles with accurate and timely analysis\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams including FP&A, Accounting, Asset Management, and Operations\nMaintain and organize financial models, assumptions, and supporting documentation\nSupport special projects, presentations, and executive reporting requirements\n3. Compliance & Risk Management\nEnsure financial models and reporting align with internal policies and applicable accounting standards (GAAP understanding required)\nMaintain accuracy and documentation of assumptions used in valuation and forecasting models\nSupport data integrity and consistency across financial systems and reporting tools\nIdentify and escalate discrepancies or risks in financial assumptions or outputs as appropriate\n4. Financial / Performance Accountability\nEnsure accuracy and reliability of financial models used for forecasting, valuation, and reporting\nDeliver timely ad hoc analyses and financial insights to support decision-making\nMaintain consistent and timely delivery of monthly and quarterly financial reporting outputs\nSupport valuation processes using discounted cash flow, cost basis, and capitalization rate methodologies\nMonitor market trends and incorporate relevant assumptions into financial models\n5. Leadership / Collaboration\nCollaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, Asset Management, and external valuation partners\nSupport communication of financial insights to stakeholders in a clear and structured manner\nContribute to a collaborative, analytical, and high-performance team environment\nBuild effective working relationships with internal and external partners\n6. Additional Responsibilities\nMonitor macroeconomic, housing, and real estate industry trends to support modeling assumptions\nBenchmark portfolio performance against industry peers in SFR/BTR sectors\nPerform other duties as assigned to support business objectives\nPerformance Expectations & Key Metrics:\nPerformance will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes aligned with company and departmental goals.
