This position supports property operations by ensuring homes are safe, functional, and well-maintained for residents. The role contributes to resident satisfaction, asset preservation, and operational efficiency. It requires strong technical expertise, effective communication, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in alignment with company objectives.\nEssential Job Functions\nFunctional Responsibilities\nPerform preventative, corrective, deferred, and emergency maintenance across assigned properties\nDiagnose and complete repairs related to HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, and general home systems\nComplete and document work orders accurately and promptly using company-issued mobile devices\nOperational / Departmental Support\nCoordinate with dispatch, vendors, and internal teams to ensure timely service completion\nMaintain inventory of tools and supplies needed for daily maintenance activities\nSupport property readiness by assisting with renovations, turns, and quality control checks\nProvide a high level of customer service as the primary field representative\nPromote company values and maintain professionalism in all interactions\nCompliance & Risk Management \nEnsure adherence to applicable federal, state, and local regulations\nMaintain required documentation and reporting standards\nIdentify and escalate compliance or safety risks as appropriate\nFollow OSHA and company safety standards; report unsafe conditions promptly\nAdditional Responsibilities\nMaintain a courteous and professional demeanor with residents, vendors, and colleagues \nCurrently does not require on-call or emergency work, but may in the future \nPerform other duties as assigned to support business objectives \nPerformance Expectations & Key Metrics\nPerformance will be evaluated based on measurable outcomes aligned with company and departmental goals. Metrics may include:\nComplete an average of 3-5 work orders per day, depending on work order complexity and market volume\nMaintain 90% or greater completion rate for assigned work orders\nComplete at least 85% of work orders without vendor involvement.\nMaintain repeat visits for the same issue below 5% monthly\nAchieve resident net promoter scores of 8 or higher through resident survey platforms\nMaintain 100% compliance with company safety policies, required certifications, and operational procedures\nComplete required documentation, photos, and work order notes within the same day of service completion\nMaintain inventory, tools, and company equipment in accordance with company standards and audit requirements\nComplete all required training and compliance courses by assigned deadlines\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nExperience\n3+ years of experience in residential maintenance or related field\nSkills & Competencies\nStrong organizational and time-management skills\nEffective written and verbal communication skills\nAnalytical thinking and problem-solving ability\nProficiency in mobile technology and work order systems\nAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience in single-family rental or property management environments\nCertifications in HVAC, electrical, or plumbing trades\nIndustry certifications or licenses: EPA Certification, HVAC Certification, or equivalent\nWhy work for Maymont Homes?\nOur Mission - \"We Positively Impact the Lives in the Communities We Serve.\" Every role contributes to this purpose, helping families find a place to call home while making a difference in the communities we support.\nCertified Great Place to Work® - Our people make us who we are.
