If you are committed to excellence and ready to contribute to a dynamic culture, we would love to meet you.\nThe Senior Analyst, Finance will be part of the real estate management team providing multiple services tailored to drive optimal returns from investments made by Brookfield sponsored Funds in the Office, Industrial, Multifamily, Senior Housing, Self-Storage, and other sectors. This is an ideal role for candidates that thrive in a fast-paced environment and have an interest in learning about different sectors in real estate. The role is based in Toronto and would also liaise with various teams within Brookfield and across functions.\nRole & Responsibilities:\nOnboard and offboard investments - including review of organizational structures, review of fund flow in close coordination with tax, open bank accounts, review loan agreements, review cash management agreements, review closing statements, purchase price allocations, onboard third- party property managers, etc.\nPrepare various financial information and analytics to ensure accuracy of reporting as well as optimal performance\nPrepare materials for valuation meeting, board meeting and quarterly results meeting\nPrepare financial and management reporting to ensure accuracy and analyze return goals (IRR, MOC, TWR)\nEnsure lender compliance, REIT compliance, statutory compliance, governance & control testing, etc.\nPrepare investor capital calls and distributions\nMonitor liquidity and assess capital needs for the business \nPrepare financial statements and investor reporting prepared in accordance with US GAAP - Investment Company Accounting and IFRS\nPrepare quarterly reporting deliverables, including board meeting materials\nAssist with the external audit and tax reporting process with big 4 firms\nAssist with process & system enhancements with focus on scalability for future growth and improving efficiency\nAssist as needed with due diligence related to refinancing, dispositions, development and re- development\nAssist and liaise with tax consultant, as necessary for real estate tax reassessment and appeals\nYour Qualifications:\nRecognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA preferred) with at least 3 years of progressive work experience with a mix of public accounting and industry experience\nSuperior communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills; able to interact professionally with various levels of internal & external stakeholders\nExceptionally organized, self-motivated and proactive, with proven ability to prioritize and deliver results independently, while working together with a team in a fast-paced environment\nAdvanced knowledge of Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel and PowerPoint\nExperience in accounting / consolidation systems (i.e. Microsoft Dynamics, Yardi, JD Edwards, Hyperion, Cognos TM1, SQL, OneStream, etc.) and adaptability with learning new applications\nExcellent analytical and problem-solving ability\nExperience in real estate or working experience in industry is preferred, an understanding of financial markets and having an interest in real estate is also a plus.
