Job Description:
We are looking for a Senior System Design Engineer with strong experience in automotive telematics and system engineering. The role involves defining system requirements and technical specifications, developing and validating APIs, performing vehicle diagnostics, and supporting integration between embedded systems and cloud platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and analyze system requirements and technical specifications for automotive telematics systems.
- Translate vehicle and business requirements into system-level requirements, interfaces, and technical specifications.
- Design and develop YAML-based APIs and validate API specifications using Swagger/OpenAPI and Postman.
- Perform API testing, integration testing, and troubleshooting across vehicle and cloud interfaces.
- Use CANoe for vehicle network analysis, diagnostics, and troubleshooting.
- Work with automotive diagnostics protocols including UDS and J1939.
- Support integration between embedded/vehicle systems and cloud platforms, including AWS IoT.
- Analyze logs, traces, API responses, and diagnostic data to identify system-level issues.
- Coordinate with embedded software, cloud, connectivity, testing, and other engineering teams for system integration and issue resolution.
- Maintain requirements traceability and support verification and validation activities.
- Participate in technical reviews, defect analysis, integration testing, and release activities.
- Contribute to system architecture, interface definitions, technical documentation, and continuous improvement.
Required Skills:
- 7 - 10 years of experience in Automotive System Engineering, Telematics, Connected Vehicle, or related domains.
- Strong experience in automotive telematics and system-level design.
- Strong knowledge of requirements engineering, system specifications, and interface definition.
- Hands-on experience with YAML, Swagger/OpenAPI, and Postman for API development and validation.
- Experience with CANoe for diagnostics and vehicle network analysis.
- Strong understanding of UDS and J1939.
- Experience with cloud integration, preferably AWS IoT.
- Understanding of embedded automotive systems and vehicle communication.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with cross-functional engineering teams across embedded, cloud, connectivity, and testing.
- Strong technical documentation and stakeholder-management skills.
- Immediate joiners preferred.
