You work well with established procedures, communicate clearly, and know when to escalate issues while continuing to learn from senior team members.\nWhat You'll Do\nPerform routine administration and health checks for SQL Server databases in on-premises and Azure environments under the guidance of senior DBAs\nMonitor database availability, capacity, performance, jobs, and alerts; investigate common issues and escalate complex incidents appropriately\nSupport backup, restore, recovery validation, database refresh, and migration activities by following documented procedures\nAssist with user access, permissions, patching, maintenance, and security controls in accordance with company standards and change-management processes\nUse T-SQL and approved tools to gather diagnostic information, perform query and index analysis, and automate repeatable tasks\nMaintain accurate documentation, runbooks, inventory, and operational records; collaborate with senior DBAs, developers, infrastructure, and security teams\nParticipate in scheduled maintenance and an on-call rotation as assigned, with appropriate team support\nWhat You'll Need\n1-3 years of relevant experience in database administration, systems administration, or a closely related technical role; equivalent education and practical training may be considered\nFoundational knowledge of Microsoft SQL Server, relational database concepts\nWorking knowledge of T-SQL, including writing queries and understanding stored procedures, execution plans, and indexes\nUnderstanding of database backups, restores, recovery models, security permissions, and routine maintenance\nKnowledge of PowerShell Scripting and automation\nTroubleshooting skills and the ability to analyze logs, alerts, and performance information\nStrong documentation, communication, organization, and collaboration skills\nAbility to follow operational procedures, change controls, and security requirements while handling sensitive financial data responsibly\nTravel requirement: All roles require travel during the first 6 months of employment to attend the BHG Oars in Experience. After the initial 6 months, ongoing travel is expected at approximately ~5% annually for periodic team on-sites, team meetings, and cross-functional collaboration.\nWork Authorization: This role is not eligible for employer-provided immigration sponsorship.
