At BIC World, you are empowered to take ownership of your career and use your unique perspective to make a meaningful, global impact on our mission.\nThe System Architect - Demand & Supply Planning is responsible for designing, governing, and continuously improving the technology landscape supporting Demand Planning, Supply Planning, and Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes across the organization.\nWorking closely with Supply Chain, IT, Finance, and external technology partners, the role ensures that planning solutions are aligned with business objectives, integrated with JD Edwards (JDE) and other enterprise applications, and capable of supporting scalable, efficient, and data-driven planning processes.\nThe System Architect translates business requirements into sustainable technical solutions, defines architecture standards, and drives continuous improvement of planning systems while ensuring reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability.\nResponsibilities\n1. Solution Architecture (20%)\nDesign and maintain the architecture for Demand & Supply Planning systems.\nDefine scalable and sustainable system designs aligned with business strategy.\nEnsure architecture complies with enterprise IT standards and security requirements.\nRecommend technology improvements that simplify and modernize planning capabilities.\n2. Business Requirements & Solution Design (25%)\nPartner with Supply Chain, Planning, Finance, and IT stakeholders to understand business needs.\nTranslate functional requirements into technical solution designs.\nEvaluate solution alternatives and recommend the most appropriate architecture.\nSupport business transformation initiatives through technology enablement.\n3. Enterprise Integration (20%)\nDesign and oversee integrations between planning applications and enterprise systems including:JD Edwards (JDE)\nData warehouse / analytics platforms\nMaster Data Management\n\nEnsure data consistency, reliability, and end-to-end process integration.\nSupport API and middleware strategies where appropriate.\n4. System Performance & Continuous Improvement (15%)\nMonitor system performance and recommend improvements.\nOptimize data models, interfaces, and processing efficiency.\nSupport release planning, upgrades, and application lifecycle management.\nPromote best practices for solution governance and architecture.\n5. Technical Leadership & Governance (10%)\nProduce and maintain architecture documentation.\nDefine technical standards and design principles.\nProvide technical guidance to project teams and vendors.\nParticipate in solution reviews and architectural governance.\n6. Operational Support (10%)\nSupport issue resolution for complex system incidents.\nPartner with application support teams to resolve root causes.\nEnsure business continuity for planning applications.\nAssist with user adoption and change management initiatives.\nRequired Qualifications\nEducation\nBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related discipline.\nExperience\nMinimum 8 years of experience in System Architecture, Solution Design, Business Systems, or Supply Chain IT.\nExperience supporting Demand Planning, Supply Planning, S&OP, or Integrated Business Planning processes.\nExperience integrating planning applications with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE).\nExperience working in multinational or global organizations.\nSkills\nStrong SQL and database knowledge - Oracle preferred.\nExperience designing enterprise application integrations.\nKnowledge of APIs, middleware, ETL, and integration architecture.\nUnderstanding of data modelling and master data management.\nExperience with JD Edwards ERP is an advantage.\nFamiliarity with cloud-based planning platforms is an advantage.\nExperience with Agile delivery methodologies.\nUnderstanding of Demand Planning and Supply Planning business processes.\nPreferred Qualifications\nTOGAF certification or equivalent Enterprise Architecture certification.\nExperience with planning platforms such as Blue Yonder, Kinaxis, o9 Solutions, Oracle Supply Chain Planning, or similar.\nKnowledge of forecasting methodologies and planning analytics.\nExperience supporting digital transformation initiatives.\nFluent English is required.\nFrench is a strong advantage; Spanish or Portuguese would be beneficial.\nCore Competencies\nEnterprise Architecture\nSupply Chain Planning\nSolution Design\nSystems Integration\nStakeholder Management\nAnalytical Thinking\nProblem Solving\nContinuous Improvement\nTechnical Leadership\nCommunication and Collaboration\nKey Challenges\nDesigning scalable planning solutions that support changing business requirements.\nMaintaining seamless integration between planning applications and JD Edwards ERP.\nBalancing standardization with regional business needs.\nEnsuring high data quality across interconnected planning systems.\nSupporting business transformation while maintaining operational stability.\nEvaluating emerging technologies to continuously improve planning capabilities.\nWhat You'll Bring\nA customer-focused mindset with a passion for improving business processes.\nStrong analytical and critical thinking skills.\nExcellent communication and facilitation abilities.\nThe ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.\nA proactive approach to solving business challenges and driving continuous improvement.\nThe flexibility to work in an international, collaborative, and fast-paced environment.\nBIC World is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
