Working closely with business stakeholders, analytics teams, and fellow engineers, the Senior Data Engineer leverages technologies such as Power BI, Spark, and Azure-based analytics services to drive data quality, platform performance, and engineering excellence.\n\nIn addition to hands-on development, the Senior Data Engineer provides technical leadership through mentoring, code reviews, solution design, and the promotion of engineering best practices across the Data & Analytics organization.\n\nWhat You’ll Do\n\nDesign, develop, and lead the implementation of scalable ETL / ELT pipelines and data transformation frameworks\n\nDesign, build, and optimize cloud-based analytics solutions using Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Spark, SQL, and ADLS Gen2\n\nLead the ingestion, transformation, and processing of structured and semi-structured data from multiple sources including databases, APIs, files, and cloud platforms\n\nDesign and maintain analytics-ready datasets, curated data layers, reusable data models, and enterprise-scale data solutions\n\nDrive performance optimization initiatives across Spark workloads, SQL workloads, and enterprise data pipelines\n\nLead troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of complex production incidents and data quality issues\n\nCollaborate with business stakeholders, BI Developers, Data Analysts, and other engineering teams to translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions\n\nDefine and promote data engineering best practices, coding standards, reusable frameworks, and development guidelines\n\nMentor and support Data Engineers through technical guidance, code reviews, knowledge sharing, and best practice adoption\n\nContribute to data governance, metadata management, documentation, and platform modernization initiatives\n\nParticipate in technical design reviews and contribute to long-term analytics platform roadmap discussions\n\nWork within Agile and DevOps-based delivery processes, including Git version control, pull requests, code reviews, CI/CD practices, and deployment workflows\n\nWhat You’ll Bring To BIC\n\n6+ years of experience in Data Engineering, Business Intelligence, Analytics, or related roles\n\nAdvanced SQL skills and experience working with large-scale relational and analytical data platforms\n\nStrong hands-on experience designing, building, and supporting ETL / ELT pipelines in enterprise environments\n\nStrong experience with Azure-based analytics technologies such as:\n\nAzure Data Factory (ADF)\n\nAzure Synapse Analytics\n\nSpark / PySpark\n\nAzure Data Lake Storage (ADLS Gen2)\n\nPower BI\n\nStrong understanding of cloud-based analytics architectures and modern data platform concepts\n\nStrong understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, and large-scale data processing concepts\n\nExperience designing scalable, maintainable, and high-performance data solutions\n\nExperience conducting code reviews and promoting engineering best practices\n\nExperience mentoring engineers and providing technical leadership across projects and initiatives\n\nHands-on experience with Git version control and collaborative development workflows (branches, pull requests, code reviews, deployments)\n\nFamiliarity with Agile delivery methodologies and CI/CD or DevOps practices\n\nExperience with troubleshooting, performance optimization, root cause analysis, and data quality validation\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills\n\nAbility to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders across global teams\n\nFluent
