The Senior Global Brand Manager is a member of the BIC Growth Team and reports to the Global Marketing Director of a BIC global Category. He/she is responsible for defining and driving the long-term strategy for the business area he/she manages. The role is responsible for the end-to-end development and execution of the marketing strategy, managing the portfolio, overseeing brand and communications and driving innovation, renovation and activation initiatives to unlock sustainable and profitable growth across regions.
This person will act as the key segment owner and expert, providing a link between market knowledge, consumer knowledge, R&D and business development.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Leads and executes the development of successful strategies based on consumer insight and market situation analysis.
- Is accountable for the full portfolio strategy including innovation, renovation, animation, communications and rationalization.
- Specifically leads multi-year innovation, animation and renovation programs, including identifying consumer insights, partnering with R&D to connect technologies with consumer needs, exploring and validating assumptions with market research, developing the product proposition defining the marketing mix strategy and building a global business case.
- Supports and collaborates with the Regional & Local Commercial Marketing teams to translate global marketing strategies into local relevant market plans per region, and follows the in-market execution of the global strategic initiatives
- Leads a team of Product Managers and is accountable for setting clear priorities and performance expectations. Hi/she supports the team's development while driving collaboration and execution across key initiatives.
- Collaborates with category business partners including finance, legal, strategy and HR.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing, Master degree preferred
- 10+years of Marketing experience in Global Consumer-Packaged Goods company
- Proven marketing leadership experience in local country and global/regional role
- Growth strategy and portfolio management experience
- Ability to work with cross-functional teams and lead through influence
- Ability to operate both strategically and pragmatically, bringing long-term vision and in-market execution
- Ability to work in complex environments, effectively prioritize competing demands and adapt to change
- Managerial experience of a global team
- Strong understanding of Innovation process from the Idea to Launch
- Strong analytical and creative problem-solving skills
Languages:
Fluent in English is a must.
