This position reports directly to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis with a heavy dotted line to the Category Marketing Director. The Senior Manager, FP&A main function is to act as financial advisor to the Category Marketing Director by providing accounting and financial expertise. The Senior Manager, FP&A is also responsible for the forecast and analysis of the category P&L.\nRole Details & Responsibilities:\nDevelop, implement, and manage the operating plan, forecasts, and multi-year plans, working closely with the Marketing Director and Business Development Director to compile the annual operating plan presentation.\nManage monthly financial updates along with associated financial analysis providing in-depth commentary of the category results, including the price/volume/mix analysis. \nAssist in strategic planning and analysis for multiple brands.\nWork with the Marketing team in developing sales targets, promotional and new products investment options, and pricing structure.\nAnalyze Consumer Support and Advertising programs to ensure funds are properly spent and accounted for and that programs are implemented that will grow the business.\nImplement and enforce financial control policies.\nIdentify financial impact associated with variances vs. forecast.\nProvide the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis and VP Finance, North America with timely and accurate forecasts, identifying risks and opportunities versus current approved plan along with recommendations for resolving identified issues outside of the scope of the individuals’ responsibilities.\nKnowledgeable of the products, the market, the customers, and the consumers which enable us to better understand the financial results and the business drivers.\nIdentify and implement process improvement initiatives.\nQUALIFICATIONS:\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in Accounting or Finance. MBA, a plus.\n10 to 15 years of financial experience in a profit driven organization. \nAdvanced computer skills in Excel, PowerPoint, etc. \nExperience in JDE, Hyperion Financial Management, TM1, Anaplan, Power BI a plus.\nAbility to effectively communicate across functions, with all levels of the organization, and with international (Global) team members.\nWillingness to adapt to changing business requirements and learn new systems/methods as required.\nStrong decision-making, organizational and problem-solving skills are essential as well as the ability to work effectively in a deadline intensive environment.\nStrong presentation skills with the ability to influence the audience.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as a strong knowledge of budgeting and forecasting are essential.\nBIC’s NAM headquarters will be located in Norwalk, Connecticut.
