The role provides leadership to the weighbridge teams across multiple sites and ensures compliance with contractual, regulatory and company requirements.\nKey responsibilities:\nLead, develop and support the South Kirkby Weighbridge Supervisor and Weighbridge Operators across multiple sites.\nEnsure appropriate staffing levels are maintained to support operational requirements.\nProvide coaching, training and performance feedback to team members.\nEnsure the efficient, compliant and uninterrupted operation of all contract weighbridges.\nProvide operational support and hands-on weighbridge cover during periods of absence, annual leave or increased operational demand.\nEnsure all weighbridge activities comply with contractual obligations, regulatory requirements and company procedures.\nManage the collection, validation and analysis of operational data to ensure compliance with contractual and statutory reporting requirements.\nProduce accurate and timely operational, contractual and management reports.\nUtilise advanced Excel and reporting tools to analyse data and support decision-making.\nEssential criteria for the role:\nWorking knowledge of weighbridge operations and weighbridge data recording systems.\nStrong understanding of waste classification and European Waste Catalogue (EWC) codes.\nAdvanced Microsoft Excel skills, including data analysis, formulas and reporting.\nExcellent numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills.\nEffective people management and leadership skills.\nBiffa - we’re changing the way people think about waste\nAt Biffa, we love working with waste.
