Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design and development of scalable, high-performance REST and GraphQL APIs.
  • Architect resilient, fault-tolerant backend systems and distributed services.
  • Drive backend scalability, performance, reliability, and system design decisions.
  • Work with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, and MongoDB to optimize data systems.
  • Build event-driven architectures using RabbitMQ/Kafka and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with Product, Frontend, Data, and Infrastructure teams.
  • Mentor engineers and drive engineering best practices across teams.


Requirements:

  • 8+ years of backend engineering experience in high-scale product environments.
  • Strong expertise in Node.js and/or Python.
  • Deep experience with PostgreSQL/MySQL, Redis, and distributed systems.
  • Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ or Kafka.
  • Strong ownership, debugging, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven experience leading technical initiatives and architectural decisions.


Good to Have:

  • Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD experience.
  • Cloud platforms: AWS, GCP, or Azure.
  • Experience with WebSockets/SSE and monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana).
