The Electrical Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and managing all electrical aspects of complex data center construction projects from preconstruction through commissioning and final turnover. This individual partners closely with owners, engineers, commissioning teams, subcontractors, and field leadership to ensure electrical systems are installed safely, meet quality requirements, remain on schedule, and are delivered within budget.\nThis position can be based in Salt Lake City, UT, Reno, NV or in a traveling role.\nProject Management\nLead all electrical scope execution on hyperscale and enterprise data center projects.\nManage electrical budgets, schedules, procurement activities, and forecasting efforts.\nCoordinate electrical construction activities with project teams, field operations, design consultants, and trade partners.\nMonitor progress against milestones and proactively identify project risks and mitigation strategies.\nManage electrical subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment manufacturers throughout project execution.\nProvide regular updates to project leadership regarding schedule, cost, procurement, and commissioning status.\nElectrical Systems Oversight\nOversee installation and coordination of:Medium-voltage utility service\nSubstations and transformers\nSwitchgear and switchboards\nGenerator systems\nUPS systems\nPower distribution units (PDUs)\nBusway systems\nTransfer switches\nGrounding and bonding systems\nSecurity and access control infrastructure\nFire alarm systems\nBuilding automation interfaces\nLighting and controls\nMission-critical branch circuits\n\nEnsure installations meet project specifications, code requirements, and owner standards.\nCoordinate electrical activities with mechanical, structural, civil, and commissioning teams.\nCommissioning and Integrated Systems Testing\nSupport startup, pre-functional testing, and functional testing activities.\nPartner with commissioning agents and owners during integrated systems testing (IST).\nManage resolution of electrical commissioning deficiencies and punch list items.\nEnsure completion of startup documentation, turnover packages, and O&M manuals.\nCoordinate training activities for facility operations personnel.\nSupport final owner acceptance and project closeout.\nProcurement and Equipment Management\nManage acquisition and delivery of critical equipment including:Generators\nSwitchgear\nTransformers\nUPS systems\nBus ducts\nATS equipment\nProtection and control systems\n\nMonitor manufacturing schedules and supply chain risks.\nCoordinate factory witness testing and equipment inspections.\nEnsure timely delivery and storage of equipment to support construction schedules.\nSafety and Quality\nChampion a safety-first culture across all project activities.\nEnsure compliance with company, client, and regulatory safety requirements.\nParticipate in safety audits and subcontractor accountability programs.\nLead electrical quality assurance and quality control efforts.\nVerify installations comply with project standards, commissioning requirements, and manufacturer recommendations.\nSupport root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives when required.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or related field preferred.\n7+ years of mechanical construction project management experience.\n3+ years of experience supporting mission-critical or data center construction projects.\nStrong understanding of large-scale HVAC and mechanical systems.\nExperience managing mechanical subcontractors and vendors.\nDemonstrated success delivering projects exceeding $50M in construction value.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and scheduling software.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience on hyperscale data center projects.\nMechanical engineering background.\nLEED Accreditation.\nCertified Construction Manager (CCM).\nPMP Certification.\nExperience working with mission critical clients.\nKnowledge of commissioning and integrated systems testing processes.\nBenefits\n100% Medical & Dental premiums paid for\nHealth Savings Account (HSA) with Employer Contribution\nPTO & Holidays\n401k with match\nLife Insurance & Disability paid for\nSupplemental Benefits available\nCompany Vehicle \n NOTE:Interested applicants must submit their resume for consideration using our applicant tracking system.
