Purpose and Objectives for the Role 

The Compliance Officer will support the Compliance Managers in the implementation, maintenance and ongoing development of the Company's regulatory compliance framework. The role will also support compliance monitoring, regulatory change management, policy and procedure reviews, regulatory reporting, compliance assurance and maintenance of regulatory records. The position will work closely with teams across the business to support the effective implementation of regulatory requirements and maintain a strong and demonstrable compliance control environment.

Overall Responsibilities 

Regulatory Compliance:

• Assist in conducting regulatory gap analyses and supporting the tracking and implementation of remediation actions and compliance improvements.
• Conduct regulatory horizon scanning, assessing relevant UAE and General Commercial Gaming Regulatory Authority (GCGRA) developments and their potential impact on the Company.
• Support in providing regulatory advice and obtain regulatory approvals to support the Company.
• Support the preparation of regulatory reports, management information and compliance updates, ensuring appropriate supporting evidence is maintained.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with relevant regulatory bodies and governing bodies.
• Support the ongoing development and enhancement of the regulatory compliance framework including controls, processes, documentation and regulatory readiness.
• Conduct regulatory compliance training for relevant employees within the Company. 

Compliance Monitoring and Management:

• Support the execution of the Compliance Monitoring Programme by conducting testing against regulatory requirements, internal policies, and procedures.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to obtain information and evidence required for compliance reviews.
• Document compliance testing results, recommendations, and corrective actions, and track remediation through to closure.
• Support the development, review and maintenance of compliance policies, procedures and internal guidance.
• Ensure consistent, accurate, and well-governed documentation across the business.
• Coordinate the end-to-end document control process including managing business owner review and approval schedules.

Skills Required 

• At least a bachelor’s degree in law, business, or a related field.
• Professional qualification in compliance, governance or risk management would be advantageous.
• Commercial experience in regulatory compliance or a related role, preferably within the lottery, gaming, or financial services sectors.

Qualifications Required 

• Strong knowledge of UAE regulatory and compliance requirements.
• Proficiency in regulatory reporting and documentation.
• Excellent analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communications skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail-oriented and capable of working independently or as part of a team.
