Every secure login, every permission and every customer journey depends on systems that are secure, reliable and built to scale.\n\nAs a Senior Software Engineer, you'll help design, build and evolve the Identity and Access Management platform that protects how customers and employees securely access Bigbank's services.\n\nYou'll influence architecture, drive technical decisions, and own solutions throughout their lifecycle, from design and implementation to production support.\n\nWorking primarily with Node.js and Java backends (deployed on Kubernetes), but also the occasional Vue.js, you'll help build secure authentication and user management services that thousands of customers rely on every day.\n\nIf you enjoy solving complex engineering challenges where software quality, security and scalability matter equally, we'd love to meet you.\n\nIn this role you will\n\nDesign, build and maintain secure Identity & Access Management (IAM) services.\n\nDevelop authentication, authorization and identity lifecycle solutions.\n\nDesign scalable, secure and maintainable software architectures.\n\nImplement functional, non-functional and security requirements.\n\nBuild automated tests and continuously improve software quality.\n\nBuild and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation.\n\nTroubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.\n\nParticipate in technical design discussions, architecture decisions and code reviews.\n\nCollaborate with engineers across multiple teams to deliver secure software solutions.\n\nTake ownership of solutions throughout their entire lifecycle - from design to implementation and maintenance.\n\nContinuously improve engineering practices, system performance and operational excellence.\n\nRequirements\nWe believe you'll succeed in this role if you have\n\nAt least 6 years of professional software development experience.\n\nStrong backend development experience using either Node.js and/or Java\n\nExperience developing secure software\n\nExperience designing and building distributed systems, microservices and event-driven architectures.\n\nExperience with CI/CD pipelines and modern software delivery practices.\n\nExperience with agentic workflows in the development process\n\nStrong commitment to automated testing and software quality.\n\nExperience troubleshooting and supporting production systems.\n\nStrong understanding of software engineering principles, clean code and design patterns.\n\nGood understanding of secure software development practices.\n\nExperience working in Agile engineering teams.\n\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\n\nGood English language skills.\n\nCurrently residing in Estonia and able to work from Estonia.\n\nYou'll stand out if you also have experience with\n\nWorking on authentication, authorization or Identity & Access Management (IAM) solutions.\n\nDocker\n\nKubernetes\n\nMongoDB or PostgreSQL\n\nRabbitMQ or similar messaging platforms\n\nRedis\n\nVue.js or React\n\nAtlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Bamboo)\n\nCompany offers\nWhy you'll enjoy working here\n\nAt Bigbank, Software Engineers own solutions -
