This role provides day-to-day program leadership, coordinates technical and program resources, manages risks and dependencies, and ensures delivery of program objectives within established scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.\nThe Program Manager serves as a key point of coordination between technical teams, program leadership, government stakeholders, and other project partners.\nWhat you will do\nManage the planning, execution, and delivery of complex IT projects and program activities\nDevelop and maintain comprehensive program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and deliverables\nCoordinate cross-functional technical and program resources to ensure successful project execution\nMonitor program performance against scope, schedule, budget, quality, and contractual requirements\nIdentify, assess, and manage program risks, issues, dependencies, and mitigation strategies\nLead program status meetings and communicate program health, progress, risks, and issues to stakeholders and leadership\nCoordinate Agile/Scrum ceremonies and ensure effective execution across development teams\nSupport and oversee activities across the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)\nWork closely with technical leadership to support DevSecOps practices and continuous delivery\nUse Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and other program management tools to maintain program visibility and documentation\nCoordinate requirements, deliverables, testing, implementation, and production support activities across project teams\nEnsure program activities align with government requirements, contractual obligations, security standards, and organizational objectives\nDevelop briefings, reports, dashboards, and other program-level communications for leadership and government stakeholders\nIdentify opportunities to improve program processes, delivery methods, and team performance\nMentor and provide guidance to junior project and program management personnel\nSupport organizational planning and strategic IT objectives\nWhat you should have\nBachelor's Degree and 5 to 8 years of experience\nDemonstrated experience managing complex IT initiatives involving multiple technical teams and stakeholders\nExperience with Agile/Scrum, SDLC, and/or DevSecOps environments\nExperience with program planning, scheduling, risk management, resource coordination, and stakeholder management\nProficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, Microsoft Project, and SharePoint\nExperience tracking program performance against scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements\nStrong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills\nAbility to obtain and maintain the required U.S. government clearance/background investigation\nWhat we'd like you to have\nExperience managing federal government IT programs\nExperience supporting mission-critical systems or high-volume IT environments\nExperience with federal IT contracts and program compliance\nPMP, Agile, Scrum, or related program/project management certification\nExperience working with software development, cloud, cybersecurity, or DevSecOps teams\nExperience managing multiple concurrent projects or workstreams\nExperience preparing executive-level program briefings and status reports\nAbout BigBear.ai\nBigBear.ai is a leading provider of AI-powered decision intelligence solutions for national security, supply chain management, and digital identity.
