Sales Engineer, LATAM

Location requirements:

Remote based role. Open to candidates in the Southeastern US. The primary focus of this role is the Latin America (LATAM) market, with additional support for accounts in the Eastern US.

About the Role:

Join our dynamic sales engineering team at BigPanda, where you'll play a pivotal role in supporting our enterprise sales efforts across LATAM and the Eastern US. Collaborating closely with our sales partners, you'll drive business opportunities and ensure our customers derive maximum value from our solutions. To excel in this role, you should bring previous experience in sales, customer-facing engineering, or have been an end-user of enterprise monitoring and IT operations technologies. Your ability to clearly communicate BigPanda's business value in alignment with customer objectives while effectively positioning our technology and product capabilities across executive, business, and technical levels is essential. We're looking for ambitious, self-motivated individuals ready to make an impact.

What you will do:

• Lead potential customers enthusiastically towards the anticipated business outcomes achievable with the BigPanda platform.
• Deliver exceptional product demonstrations with compelling storytelling, showing how our software delivers value through real-life examples and anecdotes, in English, Spanish, and Portuguese, as the audience requires.
• Manage proof-of-value projects end-to-end, showing how our solutions address customers' challenges from inception to completion.
• Promote our solution at various field events, including conferences, seminars, trade shows, and speaking engagements.
• Continuously pursue skill enhancement and stay abreast of developments in BigPanda's solutions, as well as industry trends and technologies, including advances in AI.
• Collaborate closely with sales partners to assess, advance opportunities, and strategize sales approaches within client accounts.
• Foster collaboration with diverse internal teams at BigPanda, including product management, engineering, customer success, and marketing.
• Demonstrate a genuine passion for sales engineering and engaging with customers.

What skills and experience you’ll bring to BigPanda:

• Fluency (written and verbal) in Spanish, Portuguese, and English.
• Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working with enterprise monitoring and event management solutions in large-scale environments.
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a sales engineering role with a SaaS or traditional software vendor with a demonstrable record of success. Experience in start-ups or early-stage companies is a plus.
• Hands-on experience using AI tools in your daily work, and the ability to explain how AI changes the way IT operations teams work.
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment, juggling many tasks, working with many constituents, and all the while keeping BigPanda's business objectives and the customers' success at the top of mind.
• Broad general knowledge of the enterprise monitoring and event management tools landscape, with a deeper understanding of a few specific solutions (e.g., Nagios, AppDynamics, Prometheus, Zenoss, Datadog, NewRelic, Splunk, Netcool, CA, HP, Oracle Enterprise Monitoring or AWS CloudWatch).
• Broad general knowledge of Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud Platform, or Microsoft Azure, and understanding of monitoring in dynamic, public cloud environments.
• Experience in integrating ITSM tools such as ServiceNow, Jira, or Remedy with monitoring tools is a strong plus.
• Should be comfortable working with scripting languages such as Python and Javascript and be familiar with complex web application architectures and their associated technologies such as messaging environments and databases.
• Should be comfortable navigating and troubleshooting Linux and Windows server OS issues, network and firewall problems, web and application server problems, database issues, and virtualization or cloud infrastructure problems.
• Should have strong presentation skills that engage the audience and inspire confidence. This should include live product demos and technical deep-dive sessions, and the candidate should be a strong teacher.
• Up to 50% travel

Preferred Skills

• Experience using AI tools such as Claude.
• Experience selling software that utilizes AI.

Market competitive salary with an anticipated OTE compensation range (salary + commission target) of $xxx - xxx. Actual salaries will vary depending on a candidate’s experience, qualifications, skills, and location. This is a commission-eligible position, and the pay mix for this role is 50/50 (AE), or 70/30 (SE)
