Join us and be part of a team shaping the future!\nAs an E&I Technician Offshore, you will help keep critical offshore installations safe, reliable and operational. Working in a 2 to 3-week offshore rotation, you will maintain, inspect and troubleshoot electrical equipment and systems on production platforms in the North Sea.\nYou will take ownership of planned and corrective maintenance, resolve technical failures and contribute to the continuous improvement of equipment reliability. Safety always comes first. You will work closely with the Offshore Installation Manager, Shift Supervisor, E&I Team Leader and fellow maintenance technicians.\nOur office is located in Rotterdam, while your offshore departure point may be anywhere in the Netherlands or the United Kingdom, depending on the assignment.\nYour responsibilities\nPerform planned and corrective maintenance on offshore electrical equipment and systems.\nDiagnose electrical faults and carry out first-line troubleshooting.\nRepair or replace defective components and ensure equipment is returned to safe operation.\nInspect, test and calibrate electrical equipment in accordance with applicable procedures.\nAnalyse recurring or unexpected failures and recommend measures to prevent future breakdowns.\nPlan and prioritise your maintenance activities in coordination with the Offshore Installation Manager and E&I Team Leader.\nRecord work orders, maintenance activities and technical modifications accurately in the Maintenance Management System.\nIdentify and request the spare parts, tools and materials required for maintenance work.\nSupervise contractors and specialist vendors and monitor the quality and safety of their work.\nProvide a clear technical handover to the next shift.\nParticipate in safety briefings and the offshore emergency response organisation.\nIdentify unsafe conditions and take appropriate action to protect people, equipment and the environment.\nWhat do you bring?\nYou are a safety-conscious E&I professional who enjoys solving technical problems in a demanding offshore environment. You work independently, take responsibility for the quality of your work and remain a dependable team member throughout the rotation.\nYou also bring:\nA vocational technical qualification, preferably in electrical engineering.\nApproximately 3 to 5 years of offshore experience within the exploration and production industry.\nPractical experience with electrical maintenance, fault-finding, inspections, testing and calibration.\nThe ability to understand and apply technical calculations and conversions used when testing and calibrating equipment.\nGood organisational and communication skills.\nA structured, accurate and safety-focused approach to work.\nThe ability to work effectively with offshore colleagues, onshore technical specialists, vendors and contractors.\nA valid offshore medical certificate.\nThe required offshore certificates and mandatory training for the relevant installation and client.\nGood command of English, enabling you to communicate clearly and work safely in an international environment.\nWillingness to work offshore in a 2 to 3-week rotation and travel to departure points in the Netherlands or the United Kingdom.\nTraining Requirements:\nAll Offshore certificates (BOSIET/FOET, Medical, MIST, Shoulder Measurement)\nCOMPEX EX01-04\nMinimum HNC in a relevant discipline or an Accredited Apprenticeship Programme\nExperience either on or offshore in the role of Instrument Technician\nDemonstrated knowledge and skills required to manage major incidents and emergencies\nAbility to work extended periods of time offshore, on a rotational basis, on a production platform\nGood understanding of safety management for Oil & Gas Production operations (or similar high hazard industry) and have demostrated personal commitment to Safety\nProven track record of performing within a multi-discpline team\nSmall Bore Tubing\nFor additional information please contact Laura Gibb by email .\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
