Join us and be part of a team shaping the future!\nThe Role\nThe Field Engineer assists construction project team members in various areas to include but not limited to preparation of field-related reports including scoping, estimating, procuring, and submittals.\nQualifications:\nSome experience in the construction industry with a commercial or industrial general contractor\n\nExperience with estimating, design, and scheduling software highly desired\n\nKnowledge of construction means and methods\n\nExperience with blueprint reading a plus but not required\n\nMust demonstrate a strong ability to:\nAdapt and be flexible to frequent changes in a fast-paced work environment\n\nDemonstrate integrity consistent with Centennial’s core values\n\nCollaborate and work effectively in a team environment with people of various backgrounds and styles\n\nStrong verbal and written communication skills, to include clear, concise, and professional presentation of information\n\nAdapt to the constantly evolving world of technology, design, means and methods, systems may include but not limited to: Microsoft Office suite, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam\n\nBachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field highly desired\n\nResponsibilities:\nProject Suppoert: Assists with daily reports and other field assignments; Assists with writing scopes of work and performing job walks; Provides support with project buyout, procurement of subcontractors, materials, and equipment; Prepares AutoCAD as-built drawings and operation and maintenance manuals; Assists Project Manager during bid negotiations\n\nEstimating: Assists in the development of detailed line-item takeoffs and pricing; Assists with entering line items into Unit Price Book software using RS Means or other line items estimating tools\n\nSubcontractor Support: Prepares bid documents for subcontractors; Assembles subcontractors quotes for review; Gathers subcontractors safety information; Assists in tracking progress payments and invoicing from subcontractors; Prepares subcontracts and other subcontractor safety information\n\nScheduling: Helps develop and maintain project schedules\n\nSafety: Ensures compliance with Centennial’s Health, Safety, Environment and Quality (HSEQ) guidelines, and procedures along with all local requirements (OSHA, USACE EM385.1.1, etc.)\n\nResponsible for driving between project sites that are often miles apart or miles from the assigned office location.\n\nPerformance of the required job duties will be in an office environment along with visits to sites that are under construction which may include various weather conditions.\n\nThe physical demands described below are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job:\nThe ability to walk terrain and surfaces that may be far, uneven, or temporary.\n\nThe ability to regularly sit, stand, walk, talk and hear.\n\nThe ability to frequently use hands to finger, handle or feel.\n\nThe ability to occasionally climb, balance, stoop, kneel, squat, or reach.\n\nThe ability to frequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.\n\nSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.\n\nThe compensation range for this role takes into account various factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to; experience, training, certifications, education, and business needs.
