Join us and be part of a team shaping the future!\nPrimary Duties:\nCompliance with company procedures and policies.\nReview tender documents, study scope of works and applicable standards.\nWork with the proposals co-ordinator to develop a bid plan and schedule work activities with clearly defined deliverables.\nUnderstand technical requirements and if required produce conceptual designs with support as required by the group engineering team, becoming self-sufficient as experience is gained in current and future systems and solutions the company offers.\nGenerate complete detailed tender cost estimates for project activities and services, including staff, workshop and site manpower, equipment / consumables (BOM), plant, and third-party subcontractors etc.\nIdentify the critical materials to be estimated and liaise with the purchasing team and approved suppliers for quotations.\nWorking with purchasing team to ensure latest best costs are being utilised.\nPrepare high quality tender deliverable documentation as required. \nGenerate/assist in preparing tender preliminary project programmes with support from the project / engineering teams.\nArrange and lead tender technical reviews.\nArrange and lead tender cost reviews.\nPrepare the tender price breakdown and price/cost details in client format (if required).\nPrepare internal governance pack for review and sign off in accordance with documented procedures and commercial requirements.\nArrange / lead / support governance approval meetings and manage follow-up actions including to final approval sign off.\nProvide post tender submission support and attend client clarification meetings.\nSupport sales and proposals activities as required and proactively utilise Tender B AI tool.\nSecondary duties:\nAttend site survey and client visits, across the UK, overnight stays may be required from time to time.\nAttend BFUK sales / proposals meetings as required.\nSupport the wider Bilfinger UK Ltd company’s proposals teams.\nAssist with writing and maintaining project case studies.\nMentor junior colleagues. \nProactively participate in initiatives to improve proposal efficiency and quality\nEssential skills:\nFirst class communication skills and ability to work within a team.\nAn ownership ethos is critical, with ability and confidence to raise profile of deliverables when required.\nAbility to prioritise.\nMinimum HNC in relevant engineering subject (Mechatronics, Mechanical, Control & Instrumentation, Chemical, Energy, etc.)\nUnderstanding of H&S.\nDesire and aptitude to learn new skills.\nCandidates will ideally have experience in the tendering of control, instrumentation and mechanical modular package type projects to regulated and non-regulated industries.\nThe successful candidate will provide the business with high quality cost estimates in order to optimise the bid definition and success.\nAt least 2 years’ experience within the engineering solutions industry.\nAttention to detail and good organisational skills.\nAbility to work under pressure and to meet deadlines.\nCommercial awareness.\nIT literate, including Microsoft Office programmes.\nApproachable and trustworthy\nDesirable skills:\nExperience of working in the UK Oil, Natural Gas, Petrochemical and Utility sectors.\nKnowledge of process, instrumentation, gas metering, analysers, modular process skids, measurement, and control\nExperience with CAD and Microsoft Project.\nFull driving licence. \nFor additional information please contact Leo Andrew Carvel Taylor by email .\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
