Join us and be part of a team shaping the future!\nJob Description - Planning Engineer (Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy)\nJob Title\nPlanning Engineer\nDepartment\nProject Controls / Project Management\nReports To\nProject Controls Manager / Project Manager\nLocation\nAs per Project Requirement\nJob Summary\nWe are seeking an experienced Planning Engineer to join our Oil & Gas Engineering Consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing, monitoring, and controlling engineering project schedules for Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, EPCM, and PMC projects. The Planning Engineer will work closely with Project Managers, Engineering Discipline Leads, and Project Controls teams to ensure engineering activities are completed on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contractual milestones.\nKey Responsibilities\nDevelop, maintain, and update project schedules using Primavera P6 and/or Microsoft Project.\nPrepare Engineering Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), project baselines, and execution schedules.\nMonitor engineering progress against approved project schedules.\nCoordinate with Engineering Discipline Leads to obtain accurate progress updates.\nTrack engineering deliverables, document status, and milestone achievements.\nPerform schedule analysis, critical path analysis, and delay assessments.\nIdentify schedule risks and recommend corrective and preventive actions.\nPrepare look-ahead schedules (2-week, 4-week, and monthly).\nMonitor engineering productivity and resource utilization.\nSupport Project Managers in forecasting manpower requirements.\nPrepare weekly and monthly project progress reports for management and clients.\nParticipate in project kick-off meetings, progress meetings, and planning workshops.\nMonitor engineering man-hours and compare actual versus planned performance.\nAssist in change management by evaluating schedule impacts of scope changes.\nCoordinate with document control to monitor engineering deliverables.\nSupport proposal and tender activities by preparing preliminary schedules and manpower histograms.\nEnsure compliance with contractual milestones and client reporting requirements.\nMaintain project dashboards, S-curves, progress measurement systems, and KPI reports.\nCoordinate with Cost Engineers and Project Controls personnel for integrated planning and reporting.\nEnsure planning activities comply with company Quality Management System (QMS) procedures.\nQualifications\nBachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Civil, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or a related discipline.\nCertification in Primavera P6 is preferred.\nPMP Certification is an added advantage.\nAdditional certifications in Project Planning or Project Controls are desirable.\nExperience\n5-12 years of experience in project planning within the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Energy, or Industrial sectors.\nMinimum 3-5 years in an Engineering Consultancy environment.\nExperience with Concept, FEED, Detailed Design, EPC, EPCM, or PMC projects.\nGCC/Middle East project experience is highly preferred.\nIf you have any questions please contact Gelson Dsouza ().\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
