We enhance the efficiency of assets, ensuring a high level of availability and reducing maintenance costs.\nWe have extensive experience in offshore and onshore facilities; specialising in asset management services throughout all life cycle phases from consulting, engineering, manufacturing, assembly, operations, maintenance, and decommissioning.\nThis commitment is delivered by an experienced and highly competent workforce of over 4,500 employees operating from 14 offices in strategic industrial hubs, upholding the highest standards of safety, compliance and quality.\nHighview Power Carrington - LAES Project (FOAK)\n50MW / 300MWh Liquid Air Energy Storage Facility | Greater Manchester\nFirst-of-a-kind, commercial-scale greenfield delivery of a 50MW / 300 MWh Liquid Air Energy Storage (LAES) facility, supporting long-duration energy storage and the UK’s net-zero transition.\nThe project utilises proprietary LAES technology, converting surplus renewable electricity into stored liquid air, with later pressurisation and reheating to drive turbines for electricity generation.\nRole / Scope (Bilfinger UK):\nPrincipal contractor for Mechanical, Electrical & Instrumentation (MEI) construction, including structural steelwork\nDelivery of complex, safety-critical systems within a novel technology environment\nWorking within a large high-performing, multi-disciplinary integrated delivery team on a technically challenging FOAK scheme\nA landmark project combining innovation, engineering excellence, and collaboration to deliver one of the UK’s most advanced energy storage assets.\nAs a QA Engineer, your activities will include the following, but are not limited to:\nPrepare and review Quality Plans, Inspection and Test Plans and supporting QA documentation. \nProvide Quality related technical support for the project\nReview vendor/supplier Quality Plans and Inspection and Test Plans.\nLiaise with Welding Engineers and Project Engineers in relation to submission of documentation and QA requirements for projects / maintenance.\nCo-ordinate and advise guidance on material certification, welding, NDT and other quality requirements. \nCo-ordinate the QA/QC Engineering function within M, E & I disciplines for BP FPS. \nLiaise with 3rd party inspectors and co-ordinate the Inspection function. \nRaise Continuous Improvement Forms (CIFs) as appropriate and liaise with Client’s QA departments. \nEnsure all quality documentation/records are maintained within the Company’s Business Management System (BMS). \nEnsure quality performance monitoring is maintained and reviewed accordingly against KPIs. \nContribute to the improvement and technical capabilities of the Company. \nQuality Auditing - Internal and External\nSupport the existing QA team on site\nQualifications\nCSWIP Level 3.1 Welding Inspector \nPCN level 2 - MPI / DPI \nRecognised Lead Auditor qualification (9001) \nONC/HNC Mechanical Engineering (Desirable) \nRadiograph Interpretation (Optional)\nExperience\nGood Engineering and QA/QC background. \nKnowledge and experience in Quality Management Systems. \nDevelopment of project QA documentation (Quality Plans, ITPs etc.) and\nreview of supplier QA documentation. \nKnowledge and familiarity with KPIs and performance monitoring \ntechniques. \nAble to read and understand isometric drawings. \nUnderstanding of and familiarity with pipe standards and specifications. \nRadiographic interpretation. \nComputer literate;
