To achieve its goals, Bilfinger has identified two strategic levers: Operational Excellence to continuously improve its own efficiency and performance, and Market Expansion to strengthen customer orientation and establish Bilfinger as the partner of choice.\nPosition: Senior Electrical Commissioning Technician\nKey Result Areas:\nTesting & Witnessing of low and high voltage distribution boards, Cables, MCC, Switchgear, capacitor bank, Harmonic filtering, HVAC equipment, Control panels, Grounding systems, Motors, VSD, protection relay, UPS & Communication testing.\nPerform role as HV & LV Isolation authority & responsible for Sanction for test/De-isolation within the GF PTW database.\nLead Tri Party Sub System/System Mechanical Completion walk downs and punch list item categorization. Assist discipline engineers to compile Livening Up Notices to allow sub system/system energization.\nSystem Handover Management commissioning check sheet completion.\nAttend FAT (factory acceptance testing) & SAT Site Acceptance testing for supplied equipment and witness from client perspective. Perform execution of drafted commissioning test procedures.\nResponsible for raising project punches and or technical queries and proposals using company CMS database and technical query database.\nAct as Authorised Electrical Person (AEP) for high and low voltages following assessment by the Responsible Electrical Person and approval by the Site Controller.\nUndertake Performing Authority duties in accordance with Permit To Work procedures.\nEnsure Electrical test equipment calibration is in date and maintain company register.\nLead a team of up to 10 commissioning discipline technicians to complete the work scope assigned within the defined project schedule, managing site queries, SIMOPs, ensuring the engineering design standards are achieved and equipment operability satisfactorily demonstrated.\nEducational Qualifications:\nMinimum requirement of Engineering Diploma in Instruments.\nExperience Profile:\nProven track record of 10+ years of electrical experience with 5 years being commissioning on Electrical Systems and demonstrate an understanding of Commissioning processes including:\nInterpretation of Single Line Diagrams, schematics and engineering datasheets, Commissioning of high and low voltage electrical power, distribution and generation systems.\nControl of Work/ Permit to Work processes during execution.\nCommissioning of utility and process systems.\nSystem Handover Management commissioning check sheet completion.\nCompetencies/Skills/Others:\nValid Driving License\nMinimum requirement of Engineering Diploma in Electrical.\nCompex (ATEX) certificate (preferred not mandatory).\nAbility to analyze all relevant project-related information and communicate project status and major issues in writing or verbally.\nAbility to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications, interpret contract terms and conditions, communication skills, intermediate computer skills and leadership skills.\nProactive communicator who can utilise the wider skills within an organisation to provide effective solutions to key client issues at short notice.\nCompetent with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams) and Industry Project software packages / Dossiers.\nIf you have any questions please contact Gelson Dsouza ().\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
