Join us and be part of a team shaping the future!\nThe Role\nThe Senior Planner is responsible for consulting and directing the function to provide cost/expenditure transparency, project controls, processes and planning activities to projects and contracts whilst ensuring parity and best practice across the business.\nKey Accountabilities\nDevelop and manage an effective project control strategy whilst maintaining the project controls plan and associated procedures\nEnsure project schedules, including resource loading, critical path analysis and progress monitoring are adopted across all projects\nCollaborate with commercial manager, project managers and engineers to ensure project objectives are achieved within scope, schedule, and budget constraint\nEstablish cost engineering systems to monitor, control and report costs\nAid in the development, integration and optimisation of project programmes\nLiaise with PMs/RDs to manage the provision of appropriate resources and expertise to successfully deliver the project control activities\nLiaise with project teams to identify project risks and associated control measures, plus opportunities\nAssist in the development and monitor the performance of key contracts\nOwnership of the update of business process and reporting systems/timelines through to project closure\nDevelop bespoke and/or generic rules of credit\nDevelop structured naming conventions in P6 to be rolled out through the business\nSpecific Activities\nReview and approve prior to issuance all cost/planning information required for Monthly Project Board meeting\nSet up and lead the Project Control Meetings\nEnsure we have robust monthly project updates to the project risk registers and value analysis processes\nManage the integration of programmes from various sources\nImplement progress monitoring and productivity measurement\nDefine and issue the project work breakdown structure and estimating format\nMonitor expenditure and adjust budgets in accordance with the project change control system\nExperience & Qualifications\nKnowledge and proficiency in P6\nStrong communication skills both verbal and written, plus strong analytical skills\n8 years of experience in a leadership role in project controls\nBachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business or related fields experience in Construction Management, and or ICostE, CEng, IEng\nERP system, estimating software, SAP\nPMO Experience\nKnowledge or and experience using PowerBI and MS tools\nExcellent communication skills\nFor additional information please contact Leo Andrew Carvel Taylor by email .\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
