Working under the direction of the Work Pack Engineer, the role is responsible for compiling technical documentation, maintaining project records and supporting workface readiness across multiple work fronts. The position provides a structured development pathway into a Work Pack Engineer role while building experience within a highly regulated nuclear environment.\nMain Duties and Responsibilities\nSupport the preparation and compilation of fabrication and installation work packs in accordance with project procedures.\nDownload, print and collate FUDs, isometric drawings, parts lists and associated documentation for inclusion in work packs.\nEnter and maintain data within DMS and other project management systems.\nAssist in reviewing work pack documentation for completeness and compliance before issue.\nMaintain work pack registers and workflow trackers to support progress reporting and status monitoring.\nSupport the control of drawing revisions and document updates to ensure current information is incorporated into work packs.\nAssist the Work Pack Engineer in identifying missing documentation, material certificates or drawing discrepancies.\nLiaise with Stores, Production, Quality and Document Control departments to obtain information required for work pack completion.\nSupport material traceability activities by maintaining material certification records, heat number traceability and supporting quality documentation requirements.\nAssist with the preparation of handover documentation and quality records.\nSupport workbook lookahead activities and the tracking of priority work packs.\nMaintain accurate electronic and hard-copy records in accordance with project procedures.\nRaise documentation issues and constraints to the Work Pack Engineer for resolution.\nSupport audits, quality surveillance activities and document reviews when required.\nPromote Nuclear Safety Culture principles and Right First Time behaviours in all activities.\nComply with all Bilfinger, HPC and client safety, quality and environmental requirements.\nAssist in the tracking and coordination of engineering queries, drawing clarifications and document revisions to support work pack readiness.\nKey Behaviours\nStrong attention to detail.\nEager to learn and develop technical knowledge.\nOrganised and methodical approach to administration and documentation.\nPositive and collaborative team member.\nEffective communicator with colleagues and stakeholders.\nTakes ownership of assigned tasks.\nDemonstrates a strong commitment to safety and quality.\nAble to prioritise workload and manage competing deadlines. \nExperience & Qualifications\nMandatory\nExperience in an engineering, construction, manufacturing, project controls, document control or technical administration environment.\nBasic understanding of engineering drawings and technical documentation. \nExperience using Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Word. \nGood organisational and document control skills. \nAbility to work accurately with large volumes of technical information. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills.\nGCSE Maths and English (or equivalent). \nCCNSG Safety Passport (or willingness to obtain). \nRelevant engineering, technical or business administration qualification, or equivalent experience.\nDesirable\nExperience supporting fabrication, construction or installation activities. \nExperience working in a highly regulated industry. \nFamiliarity with document control systems. \nExposure to mechanical, piping or engineering projects. \nExperience Using the Following Systems is Desirable:\nDMS\nP6\nCEMAR\nProarc\nMicrosoft Office Suite\nElectronic Document Management Systems\nONC or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering or a related discipline. \nHNC in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or similar. \nKnowledge of nuclear quality requirements. \nAbility to obtain and maintain HPC site access requirements.\nIf you have any questions please contact Anahita Razeghian ().\nBilfinger is an equal opportunity employer.
