Social at BILL exists to make the company sharper, more visible, and more credible to the people we're trying to reach. We're looking for a Sr. Social Media Strategist to build the strategy and the operating model behind it. You will decide what BILL says, where it’s said, and who says it. You'll set the point of view, run the employee advocacy and executive social programs, and lead our agency partner without stepping back from the work. Strategic ownership is what defines success here, not volume of posts shipped. We move fast, take real positions, and would rather ship fewer, sharper ideas than fill a content calendar. We value clear thinking, direct feedback, and the willingness to say no to work that doesn't meet the bar.

Make your impact at a leading Fintech Company

• Set BILL's organic social strategy across LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, and X, and make the case for where we should show up next
• Decide when a campaign, product launch, customer story, or piece of thought leadership deserves BILL's voice, an executive's, or an employee's, and build the plan around it
• Build an employee advocacy program that makes it easy and worthwhile for people to talk credibly about their work
• Run BILL's executive social program with Corp Comms: strategy, cadence, ghostwriting, editing
• Lead our social agency partner while staying close to the work yourself, setting direction, reviewing creative, and holding the bar high
• Track shifts in platforms, culture, and competitors, and use performance data to keep sharpening the approach

What success looks like

• BILL has a clear, distinctive social point of view that people recognize 
• The social strategy is understood across the company and gives teams and agency partners a real framework to work from
• Employees and executives are credible, active voices for BILL, extending our reach past what paid or owned channels can do alone
• The team is constantly testing, learning, and adjusting based on what the data says, not what the calendar says
• Social has a measurable line to brand, reach, engagement, and business growth

We’d love to chat if you have:

• Demonstrated social media experience where you set the strategy, not just executed someone else's (and have the receipts to prove it)
• In-house experience at a B2B or B2C brand, ideally in technology, SaaS, fintech, or with a startup 
• A track record of building employee advocacy and executive social programs
• Sharp editorial judgment and a portfolio that shows how your work changes by platform, audience, and moment
• Experience leading agency or contractor partners while keeping clear ownership of strategy and quality

Our ranges for each role and job level are based on a variety of factors including candidate experience, expertise, and geographic location and may vary from the amounts listed below. The role is also eligible for a competitive benefits package that includes: medical, dental, vision, life and disability insurance, 401(k) retirement plan, flexible spending & health savings account, paid holidays, paid time off, and other company benefits. The estimated salary  ranges noted below roles in the specific  geographic zones

Zone 1: San Francisco Bay Area CA (includes HQ), New York City, Seattle, Los Angeles County

$146,400—$183,000 USD

Zone 2: CA (Non San Francisco Bay Area and Los Angeles County), Austin TX, Massachusetts

$131,700—$164,700 USD

Zone 3: Utah (includes Utah office), Dallas TX, Houston TX, Florida, North Carolina, Illinois, Colorado, Arizona, Georgia, Oregon, Pennsylvania

$124,500—$155,700 USD
