We’re looking for an experienced B2B Collections Specialist to take ownership of business account portfolios and drive timely payment recovery. The ideal candidate will have strong commercial collections experience, credit analysis skills, excellent communication, and advanced Excel capabilities.What You'll Do:
- Manage assigned B2B accounts end to end, maintaining accurate records of payments, account status, follow-ups, communications, and collection activity.
- Take ownership of a portfolio of delinquent business accounts and prioritize collection activity based on aging, outstanding balances, payment history, and account status.
- Contact business customers regarding past-due invoices through phone, email, and other communication channels, using professional and persistent collection techniques.
- Conduct consistent payment follow-ups and take appropriate action to support timely account resolution.
- Review and analyze payment history, credit limits, credit holds, purchase orders, aging reports, and account activity to determine appropriate collection actions.
- Make or recommend appropriate decisions regarding credit holds, order releases, and account status based on account information and established guidelines.
- Investigate and resolve payment discrepancies, billing issues, and account disputes.
- Negotiate payment arrangements and appropriate solutions based on account circumstances and business requirements.
- Understand and effectively manage parent and child account structures and related collection activity.
- Build and maintain professional relationships with business customers throughout the collections process.
- Use Excel to look up, organize, and analyze exported account data to support account research and collection decisions.
- Meet BGO and client performance metrics, including collection targets, productivity, quality, and account resolution.
- Maintain accurate and detailed documentation of all collection activities, customer interactions, payment commitments, and follow-up actions.
- Report on collection activity, account status, aging, outstanding balances, and other portfolio information as required.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, client requirements, and applicable regulations.
- Champion company core values.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
