This role is not eligible for fully remote work.\nThe Role\nYou are an analytical, go-getter, who loves to dot i's and cross t's and is an exceptional multi-tasker. You are an all-star credit underwriter who is comfortable working cross-departmentally, collaborating with Sales departments, and other stakeholders within Billd. The key responsibility for this role is to live and breathe the business underwriting process.\nWhat You'll Do\nOwn the contractor onboarding process including diligence, company underwriting, and credit limit determination\nComplete diligence process on contractor account diligence on a daily basis\nSummarize underwriting methodology, key risk factors, and decisioning reasoning on contractor accounts on a daily basis \nMonitor contractor business portfolio for re-diligence and additional risk\nComplete business underwriting including: credit report evaluation, ratio calculations, bank statement review, background checks, and independent business research\nEvaluate and process applicant documents to identify discrepancies and protect Billd from potentially fraudulent activity\nProactively identify high and low risk indicators with the goal of improving Billd Credit Policy\nEvaluate existing underwriting processes and find ways to improve efficiencies and underwriting results\nMaintain subject matter expertise pertaining to current market underwriting guidelines as well as internal company guidelines\nCollaborate with internal sales and leadership teams\nSkills and Qualifications:\nBachelor’s degree\n2+ years in commercial underwriting roles or business credit analysis\nKnowledge in the commercial construction experience is preferred but not required\nExperience with Salesforce or comparable CRM and ERP systems is preferred but not required \nFamiliarity with a wide variety of diligence tools such as Experian Business, LexisNexis, & consumer credit reports\nComfortable working in a fast-paced environment, startup experience a plus\nExceptional written and verbal communication skills\nStrong analytical skills and proficiency with Excel, SQL, and Artificial Intelligence\nWhat you'll get:\nHighly competitive salary\nTop class benefits\nUnlimited PTO\nRegular end of the month office lunches\nBilld is committed to diversity and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
