Whether it's recurring payments, consumer invoicing, or enterprise billing, the principle is the same: one platform, designed to keep payments working and relationships growing.\nTo strengthen our position as a leading European payment platform, we're looking for a Software Developer to join our team in Stockholm.\nAbout the Role\nThis is an individual contributor role for someone who wants to own their impact and shape real outcomes. You'll join a cross-functional team made up of engineers, a product manager, and an engineering manager, working closely together to build and evolve the backend of our product. You'll be involved early, helping define solutions, not just implementing them.\nHow we work is a big part of this role. Engineers here are trusted to take a problem, understand it deeply, and drive it forward. That means working closely with Product, shaping solutions together and caring about what happens after things go live.\nYou'll spend most of your time building and evolving core parts of the product. A big part of the role is also working with what's already there. You'll improve existing solutions, deal with technical debt where it matters and make sure we can handle increasing scale and complexity as we grow. Some of what's already there is written in PHP, though Python is what you'll mainly be building with.\nAI is a core part of how we build software here, and we're looking for engineers who already work this way, with hands-on experience in AI coding tools and agentic development in real projects, not just interest in the idea. Because you own what you ship in a regulated payments codebase, we need strong judgment about where AI helps and where it doesn't, and people who review and understand generated code rather than taking it at face value. We also want people who raise the level around them, trying new tooling and helping the team grow with them.\nWhat we look for\nYou don't need to check every box below. Apply anyway if you're confident you can ramp fast.\n\nExperience building and running software in the cloud, ideally AWS\n\nComfortable working closely with Product in defining problems and shaping solutions\n\nTaking ownership of features through to production, building systems that are reliable and maintainable, and following up on how they perform\n\nAbility to break down complex problems and make pragmatic trade-offs to move things forward\n\nHands-on with AI development tools, including planning mode, building skills, custom agents, or orchestrating workflows\n\nNice to have\nExperience working with payment systems or other financial services\n\nExperience building systems that operate at scale or across multiple markets\n\nBackground in both B2B and B2C products\n\nWorking with domain-driven design concepts\n\nWhat we offer\nAt Billogram we promise you an exciting journey as we break into new markets and grow at a rapid pace.
