When we fall short, we own it and come back stronger.\nAbout the Role \nThe Program Manager, Business & Data is a critical role responsible for structuring ambiguous business problems, building the model, and driving the analysis to a clear, defensible number. You will leverage AI tools and co-work agents to pull and clean data, build models, and surface insight faster, focusing your expertise on framing the right question and driving the analysis to a decision leadership can act on. \nThis role sits inside Billtrust’s Strategy Office as it scales to support a growing portfolio of Strategic Programs Programs and AI initiatives. You’ll partner across Billtrust’s Customer org, Go-to-Market, Finance, and Operations to structure problems, build models, and turn data into decisions. This is a build-from-scratch environment: the Strategy Office is standing up execution capacity, and the person in this seat will help define how business analysis gets run here. This role is based in Nashville, TN, working onsite from our Gulch office. Priorities in this seat shift with the portfolio - you'll be deployed against whatever is most urgent, and you'll be expected to move fast when it changes. \nWhat You’ll Do \nProblem Structuring & Analysis \nTake a loosely defined business question and structure it into a clear analytical approach, with a defined hypothesis and a path to an answer. \nBuild financial and operational models to size opportunities, evaluate trade-offs, and support decision-making across Strategic Programs/Initiatives. \nUse AI tools to accelerate data pulls, cleaning, and first-pass analysis, focusing your own time on interpreting the result and stress-testing the logic. \nData & Modeling \nBuild and maintain dashboards and reporting that give leadership a clear, current view of program performance and business metrics. \nPartner with Data and Analytics teams to source, validate, and structure the data needed to answer a given business question. \nLeverage AI co-work agents to draft analysis summaries and model documentation, freeing time for higher-judgment work. \nProgram Execution \nOwn execution of assigned Strategic Programs/Initiatives end to end, converting a scattered list of open items into a structured plan with clear owners and dates, and drive it to closure. \nIdentify risks and dependencies across cross-functional workstreams and escalate early. \nSupport the Strategy Office in scaling program and analytical capacity as the Strategic Programs portfolio grows. \nWhat You’ll Bring \nRequired Skills: \nBachelor's degree in Business, Finance, IT/Data, or Engineering. \nSystematic thinker - breaks a messy problem into parts, works it in order, and doesn't lose the thread. \n 3-5 years of experience in business analysis, strategy, finance, or a related analytical role, or a recent graduate with strong internship or co-op experience in the same.Demonstrated ability to build AI into personal workflows for data analysis, modeling, and reporting. \nStrong quantitative and modeling skills, with the ability to structure a problem before reaching for a spreadsheet. \nComfort operating in ambiguity, able to take a laundry list of open items and chase it to closure. \nAdvanced Excel or equivalent modeling tool proficiency. \nStrong written and verbal communication skills, able to present a number and defend the logic behind it. \nPreferred Skills: \nExperience in management consulting, corporate strategy, or FP&A. \nBackground in a high-growth or PE-backed environment. \nFamiliarity with SQL or other data querying tools. \nThe expected base salary range for this position is $100,000 - $125,00 annually.\nCompensation may vary depending on several factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experience, competencies, and geographic location. Some roles may qualify for additional incentives like equity, commissions, or other variable performance-related bonuses.
