Take pride and be very meticulous with the drinks prepared ensuring satisfaction in service décor of the bar as well as the cleanliness of the area for guests and yourself. Consistently adhere to policies and procedures of The Biltmore as outlined in Biltmore Standard Operation Procedures (BSOP’s).\n Responsibilities\nMaintain positive guest relationships to ensure 100 % guest satisfaction.\nOffer our guest the highest levels of service and product knowledge.\nMaintain bar pars accurate at all times.\nProvide the highest levels of professionalism and enthusiasm toward guests, and co-workers.\nTake orders for drinks and food (Always take a party’s complete drink order in one trip).\nKnows his/her bar menu well and be able to explain and suggest drinks.\nPlace the order and ensure that drinks are served in the proper glass with the proper garnish.\nEnsure that the brand of liquor ordered is the brand served.\nAdheres to the drinking age policy, at all the time.\nPresent each party with a separate check at the end of service.\nMaintenance of the highest levels of sanitation and safety in the workplace.\nKeep the bar and floors cleaned at all the time.\nDon’t over pour alcohol, our standard measurements is 1 1/2 oz.\nKeep control of the bar at all times.\nBe careful with the guest that has over consumed drinks.\nBe familiar with liquor and wine selection, pricing, menus, presentation and preparation.\nKnowledge of and adherence to proper I.D procedures.\nAdherence to service standards as outlined in manuals.\nDaily reconciliation of sales and credit information.\nCompletion of all assigned closing tasks pertinent to the server position.\nDeclaration of earned gratuities in accordance with current governmental requirements.\nImmediate notification of a manager in the event of a problem, or the perception of a problem.\nThe bartender position requires strong communication skills.\nAn ability to juggle several tasks and the willingness and ability to complete paperwork.\nResponsible for an in depth knowledge of all food, beverages and bar recipe offered by the hotel.\nAdherence to the service sequence as outlined by management.\nMaintain a positive attitude toward both the guest and other staff members of the hotel.\nResponsible for drink service in bar area and prepare those for lounge and poolside.\nKeeping workstation clean, orderly and properly set with napkins and straws and garnishes.\nRequirements\nExperience and Education Required\nEducation\nHigh School Diploma is required\nExperience\nMinimum two years’ Bartender experience required\nSkills Required\nMust be able to:\nSpeak, read, write and understand the English language.\nCompute accurate mathematical calculations.\nProvide legible communication and directions.\nPerform job functions with attention to detail, speed and accuracy.\nPrioritize and organize.\nThink clearly, remaining calm and resolving problems using good judgment.\nFollow directions thoroughly.\nUnderstand guest’s service needs.\nWork cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.\nWork with minimal supervision.\nMaintain confidentiality of guest information and pertinent resort data.\nUse a computer keyboard and possess basic typing skills.\nPossess moderate to advanced computer skills.\nWork in a dynamic and constantly changing environment.\nAdept to multitasking.\nPhysical Demands\nMust be able to:\nMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds.\nStand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.\nReach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.\nUse, carry, and operate all necessary office equipment using finger dexterity.\nCommunicate with employees, managers, subordinates and guests through verbal communication, hearing ability, and visual acuity.\nVisually look at a computer for extended periods of time.\nAdapt to moderate temperatures in the hotel as thermostat is controlled by hotel environmental systems.
