engineering practices.\nRequirements\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field.\nStrong foundation in data structures, algorithms, object-oriented programming, and computer science fundamentals.\nProficiency in at least one backend programming language such as Java, Go, C++, Python, or a similar language.\nUnderstanding of relational databases and SQL, including indexes, transactions, and database design fundamentals.\nFamiliarity with RESTful APIs, HTTP, networking, and client-server architecture.\nUnderstanding of operating systems, concurrency, and common backend engineering concepts.\nAbility to write clear, maintainable code and reason systematically about technical problems.\nStrong communication skills and willingness to learn in a fast-moving engineering environment.\nNice to Have\nFamiliarity with MySQL/PostgreSQL, Redis, Kafka, or other message-queue technologies.\nUnderstanding of distributed-system concepts such as consistency, availability, replication, caching, asynchronous processing, and fault tolerance.\nKnowledge of payment concepts such as authorization, capture, settlement, refunds, reconciliation, chargebacks, and payment lifecycle management.\nPrevious backend engineering internship, personal project, hackathon, or open-source
