As part of your internship in the BAP, there will also be opportunities for networking and development, which will expand your professional network and build transferable skills to propel you forward in your career. \nAbout the Role\n The Technology Audit team within Internal Audit provides independent assurance over Binance's technology environment - IT general controls, application and infrastructure controls, cloud and platform security, cybersecurity, and change and access management. As a Technology Audit Intern, you will support the team in planning and executing technology audits, testing controls, and using data analytics and automation to strengthen how we audit a fast-moving, engineering-driven organization.\nWho may apply\nCurrent University students and recent Graduates. Able to commit 5 days per week for 6 months duration.\nResponsibilities\nAssist in the planning and execution of technology audits covering IT general controls (ITGC), application controls, infrastructure, cloud, and cybersecurity.\nSupport testing of key controls such as logical access and identity management, change management, system development lifecycle (SDLC), and IT operations.\nHelp review cloud and platform configurations (e.g., AWS/GCP/Alibaba Cloud), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices against control and security expectations.\nDesign and implement scripts/tools to automate audit procedures, continuous control monitoring, and data analysis.\nExtract, clean, and analyze data from logs, systems, and databases to identify control gaps, anomalies, and areas of risk.\nPrepare clear workpapers, reports, and presentations summarizing audit findings and recommendations for the Internal Audit team.\nCollaborate with auditors, engineering, security, and compliance stakeholders to support risk assessments and remediation tracking.\nStay up to date on emerging technology risks, cybersecurity threats, cloud services, and audit best practices, including in blockchain and Web3 environments.\nRequirements\nWorking towards a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Data Science, Engineering, or a related field.\nStrong interest in technology risk, information security, and IT/technology auditing.\nFoundational understanding of IT concepts such as operating systems, databases, networks, cloud computing, and the software development lifecycle.\nFamiliarity with data analysis and scripting tools (e.g., Python, SQL); ability to work with logs and large datasets.\nAbility to interpret technical information and synthesize clear, actionable insights.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills; ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.\nHigh attention to detail, ethics, and personal integrity.\nBilingual English/Mandarin is required to be able to coordinate with overseas partners and stakeholders.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExposure to control frameworks and standards (e.g., COBIT, NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2) or IT audit methodology.\nFamiliarity with cloud platforms, containers/Kubernetes, CI/CD, or infrastructure-as-code.\nAwareness of cybersecurity concepts (identity and access management, encryption, vulnerability management, logging and monitoring).\nInterest in blockchain technology, smart contracts, and Web3 technology risks.\nPrior internship or project experience in IT audit, technology risk, cybersecurity, or data analytics.\nRelevant certifications or progress towards them (e.g., CISA, CISSP, CompTIA Security+, cloud practitioner) is a plus.\nWhy Binance\nShape the future of finance \nCollaborate with world-class talent in a user-centric global organization with a flat structure\nTackle challenging projects in a fast-paced and innovative enviornment with autonomy\nThrive in a results-driven workplace with opportunities for career growth and continuous learning\nCompetitive salary and company benefits\nRemote-first, work-from-home arrangement (may vary depending on the nature of the role and team)\nBinance is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
