Our mission is to increase the freedom of money and financial access for people around the world.\nRole Summary\nThe Reconciliation and Billing Specialist is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of billing across all card schemes, processor, and vendor invoicing including Mastercard, Visa, American Express, and affiliated networks. This role spans daily scheme advisements reconciliation, clearing and settlement matching, monthly invoice validation, vendor billing reconciliation, interchange and assessment fee analysis, scheme mandate management, acquirer commission reconciliation, dispute handling, and billing trend monitoring requiring high accuracy from day one.\nKey Responsibilities\nScheme Billing Reconciliation - Reconcile network billing across all issuing accounts; validate fee categories, event codes, and charges against internal transaction and settlement data. Match daily clearing and settlement files, investigate variances with scheme representatives, and file formal disputes where required.\nVendors Billing Reconciliation - Validate invoices from card issuing processors, personalization bureaus, and issuing vendors against contracted pricing and actual volumes. Identify pricing errors, tier misapplications, and contract non-compliance.\nMandate & Program Management - Manage the full lifecycle of scheme mandates and enrolments (effective dates, renewals, fees, compliance). Maintain a register of active programs and execute opt-outs from non-value-adding auto-billing services.\nReconcile Commission & Interchange - Reconcile commission, interchange, and revenue share statements against commercial terms and settled volumes. Audit fees for pricing accuracy; resolve underpayments, calculation errors, and missed cycles with acquiring partners.\nBilling Forecast & Trend Monitoring - Maintain rolling forecasts from historical trends, volumes, and fee schedules. Detect billing anomalies early, investigate root causes, and provide management with projected exposure against budget ahead of invoice receipt.\nReporting & Controls - Prepare monthly variance reports covering exposure, disputes, and recoveries. Build reconciliation tools and dashboards (Excel/BI) to reduce manual effort.
