This role will report to the Engineering Manager and is an integral member of the Engineering team. You will work cross-functionally to implement manufacturing improvements and drive data-driven root cause solutions to technical problems. He/She appreciates an environment where superior work is encouraged, noticed, and rewarded and where individuals carry tremendous responsibility.\nEssential Functions:\nResponsible for ensuring manufacturing lines meet uptime, availability, and reliability metrics - OEE, capacity, cycle time, quality, and first-pass yield.\nContinuously improve reliability metrics and utilize these metrics to recommend innovative solutions based on data-driven analyses.\nOwn individual workstations, tools, and production lines, and present periodic updates to management on the health of the owned areas. \nApply Design for X (DfX) principles to propose improvements of legacy products and during the new product introduction (NPI) process.\nDesign tooling, fixtures, and automated systems to manufacture products at the lowest cost and shortest cycle time. \nQualify production processes based on dimensional data, control plans, and PFMEAs.\nAbility to program parts for production on Mazak and Tsugami equipment using Solid Cam and MasterCam Software.\nWork with suppliers and customers to understand the root cause of failures, propose process and design changes, and implement and validate proposed modifications.\nDevelop and deliver training to operations and maintenance technicians to ensure the seamless handover of new equipment. \nTrain production teams on new processes and techniques.Collaborate with all cross-functional team members to understand challenges and utilize feedback supported by data to improve manufacturing operations.\nOther duties as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nBachelor of Science degree in manufacturing, industrial, mechanical, electrical engineering, or related technical degree (ABET-accredited engineering degree preferred).\nMinimum five (5) years manufacturing and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nStrong understanding of statistics.\nExperience with improving quality and cost in a manufacturing environment.\nExperience with Tableau, Minitab, SQL, and SolidWorks (or similar CAD software) desired.\nPrior CNC or manual machining experience beneficial.\nAble to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a fast-paced environment, occasionally requiring extended hours.\nOccasional domestic and international travel required.\nPreferred Qualifications\nEngineering or Business Master’s Degree (MBA).\nSix Sigma Black Belt (preferably awarded from a world-class manufacturing organization).\nExperience with automating production processes.\nExperience in lean manufacturing implementation.\nExperience with CNC machining, assembly processes, and/or distribution and logistics is beneficial.\nExperience with Fanuc and Mazatrol
