You want to learn more about the design process and how a team works together to get projects done.\nBinnie is looking for a Project Engineer to join our Transportation Major Projects Division, which provides Owner’s Engineer services for the design and procurement of major infrastructure projects in British Columbia.\nOur recent projects include the Patullo Bridge Replacement Project, Fraser River Tunnel Project and Steveston Interchange Project.\nThe position is full-time in our Burnaby office, located near scenic Deer Lake. You will work closely with our talented and diverse team of experienced Engineers and Project Managers at varied experience levels. This dynamic and challenging role offers excellent mentorship opportunities.\nYou will work with our supportive team of Engineers and Project Managers. You will carry out design work on projects from conceptual level through to detailed design and construction.\nYOUR ROLE:\nPreparing design drawings using AutoCAD or Civil3D\nPerforming design work in consultation with the Engineer of Record\nActing as a project field representative to document site observations\nReview of construction records\nPreparing reports, manuals, and technical memorandums\nAssisting with contract documentation preparation\nCoordinate and maintain complete records of design and construction submittals\nEnsuring quality control procedures are completed as per Binnie’s quality management policies and procedures\nEnsuring that project designs and calculations adhere to industry standards\nWHAT YOU BRING:\nCompleted Degree in Civil Engineering\n0-1+years of related experience in a professional engineering environment\nAn interest in construction and design\nRegistered as an EIT with EGBC\nPrevious experience in civil engineering environment is preferred\nAbility to interpret construction and specifications, along with general problem solving skills\nExperience in preparing technical documents that demonstrate technical knowledge\nValid Driver’s License an asset\nSound working knowledge of AutoCAD and Civil3D\nStrong written communication skills including technical report writing\nExcellent time management skills and ability to manage multiple ongoing projects\nAbility to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients, other consultants and contractors\nAbility to work cooperatively and productively in a team environment\nAbility to consistently maintain a high degree of accuracy and quality in work\nABOUT BINNIE:\nWe are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
