You have progressive experience working on project teams and place a high importance on quality work.\nBinnie is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our Alternative Design Services Division, which focuses on alternative delivery model assignments and complicated multidisciplined design assignments. Our Transportation Design team has been recognized for notable projects including leading the Highway 11 Interchange Design-Build assignment, the 78st Interchange and the detailed design of over 30 km of Highway 29.\nAs a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading projects from initiation through to completion. You will act as the primary point of contact to deliver a portfolio of projects ranging in scope and complexity, including interchanges, detours and passing lanes. Working closely with the client and their organization, you will procure and lead a multi-disciplined team through the project life cycle.\nYour strong understanding of project management methodologies will support your efforts to provide comprehensive project status reports, lead the change management process and accurately maintain project control documentation.\nYou will play a key role in a talented and diverse team of Project Managers at varied experience levels. You will provide planning, direction, and reporting for projects to ensure we meet the needs of our clients. You will also utilize your excellent business development skills to maintain strong client relationships and secure new business opportunities. This is an excellent opportunity for career advancement in a growing team within Binnie.\nYOUR ROLE:\nActing as the key contact on projects working with stakeholders, consultants, contractors and support staff\nLeading multidisciplinary design assignments through the full project lifecycle\nActing as the Professional of Record or Coordinating Professional of Record, when required\nLeading the development and maintenance of project schedules and coordinating resources\nBeing responsible for monitoring budget and projecting cash flows\nProactively supporting clients and anticipating project needs\nReporting on project status to the client based on a format that they agree to\nEngaging in active business development\nPreparing proposals and reports in coordination with our proposal team\nProviding mentoring to less experienced Project Managers and guidance to the project team\nWHAT YOU BRING:\nA minimum of 10 years of previous related work experience in civil engineering environment as a Project Manager, specifically in transportation engineering\nExperience working on alternative design assignments is considered a strong asset\nA proven track record of successfully delivering design assignments at various levels, including as engineer of record\nPost-secondary education and/or registration as a P.Eng. with EGBC, with ASTTBC or equivalent are assets\nValid Class 5 Driver’s License and personal vehicle\nProgressive experience in managing all aspects of project delivery\nDemonstrated ability to handle multiple complex projects\nStrong communication and leadership skills\nExcellent organizational and time management skills\nABOUT BINNIE:\nWe are the people behind the infrastructure you use every day.
