Bio-Techne, and all of its brands, provides tools for researchers to further treat and prevent disease worldwide.\nPay Range:\n$19.20 - $26.40Summary: Coordinate and ensure the flow of materials throughout the manufacturing process, from receipt of material to shipment of product; expediting, stocking and shipping functions. Ability to perform daily customer service functions related to the receiving, issuing of materials and shipping.\nDuties and Responsibilities:\nMaterials Coordinator\nAccurately receive incoming materials by verifying catalog numbers, lot numbers and quantities against the packing list, purchase order and / or return authorization form per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).\nUnpack and sort, check, count and verify incoming materials before entering into the database.\nRecord shortages, reject damaged items and advise appropriate personnel. \nRoute received products to specified departments or quarantine. \nPrepare Incoming Materials Specifications (IMS) for received goods and other routine administrative paperwork.\nCoordinate with Quality Assurance and Purchasing to ensure component availability.\nAccurately ship outgoing materials by verifying catalog numbers, lot numbers and quantities against the packing list, per Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).\nPack and sort, check, count and verify outgoing materials before final shipment. Record shortages, damaged items and advise appropriate personnel. \nPrepares shipments for courier or freight forwarders; selects appropriate shipping box; packs items to ensure safe delivery.\nPrepares packing slips; checks products to be shipped against work orders to ascertain quantities, destination and routing are correct.\nCommunicate with other departments regarding the status of outgoing materials. \nPrepare routine paperwork including maintaining department database, prepare shipping reports and filing of shipping records.\nTracks lost shipments.\nAttends daily production meeting. \nMaintains component status of Receiving Inspection (RI) Bin.\nAssist in Shop Order (SO) issues and returns.\nMaintain organization in receiving area, refrigerators, freezers and warehouse floor.\nAssist with cycle counts and physical inventory. Scrap goods via disposition as required.\nCommunicate with other departments regarding the status of materials.\nMaintain Forklift, IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations and DOT HazMat Transportation & Security Awareness Certifications. \nProvides weekly shipping and order status for daily production meeting.\nEnsure packages are sent in the most efficient and cost-effective manner.\nMaintain Shop orders including route, issue / return of raw materials. Includes daily review of current manufacturing and packaging schedules. \nEnsure timely flow of goods throughout the production cycle.\nReconcile inventory and perform maintenance in appropriate software system.\nMaintain component status of Quality (QA) bin.\nPerforms more sophisticated tasks requiring additional experience.\nAssist in training new personnel to Standard SOPs.\nKnowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:\nFollows departmental policies, procedures and objectives, and safety standards.\nMust be able to utilize inventory aides and warehouse equipment to complete tasks.\nMust have sufficient English communication skills to understand verbal and written instructions.\nAbility to work well as part of a team.\nMust have sound, basic knowledge of computers and software programs.\nKnowledge of the metric measurement.
