We value working with engineers and scientists from all walks of life.\nPerformance Objectives and Responsibilities:\nDesign and develop analytical instruments and accessories.\nDeliver best in class products by closely collaborating with cross functional teams of scientists and engineers.\nIterate quickly on prototypes and deliver designs which meet product requirements and ensure compliance with the relevant standards and regulations.\nApply engineering knowledge to ensure feasibility, reliability, and manufacturability of proposed designs\nCreate engineering documentation, 3D models, 2D drawings, BOMs, and protocols/reports.\nEnsure successful transition to manufacturing by supporting development of manufacturing equipment and processes.\nEngage in and make contributions across the range of projects supported by the San Jose based ME Hardware team including: concept feasibility work, new product development, new product introduction, manufacturing & inspection fixtures, and support of products already in the field.\nFoster a collaborative and innovative team environment.\nProvide and receive constructive feedback with good intent.\nPresent technical information and designs to large audiences.\nContribute to design reviews and system level problem-solving efforts.\nEngage and develop relationships with vendors to ensure the designs are manufacturable, reliable, and meet cost targets.\nProduce unique and innovative solutions to challenging problems contributing to the company’s portfolio of intellectual property.\n\nEducation, Experience, and Skills:\nBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with five to seven years of industry experience ( or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with three to five year of industry experience).
