{"id":1021611,"url":"https://alion.io/job/bioagilytix-sample-reception-manager","title":"Sample Reception Manager","company":{"id":6005,"name":"BioAgilytix","domain":"bioagilytix.com","url":"https://alion.io/company/bioagilytix","size_band":"1001-5000","is_staffing_agency":false,"is_intermediary":false,"ats_vendor":"Lever","truth_index":null},"role":"Management","role_family":"Management","seniority":null,"employment_type":null,"work_mode":"on_site","remote_scope":null,"hiring_geo_confidence":"structured","locations":["Melbourne, Australia"],"countries":["AU"],"hiring_countries":[],"hiring_countries_total":0,"salary":null,"salary_estimate":{"min_usd":70000,"max_usd":160000,"period":"year","method":"role_country_seniority_unknown","sample_n":27},"experience_years_min":null,"visa_sponsorship":false,"relocation_package":false,"has_equity":false,"technologies":[],"status":"live","first_seen_at":"2026-09-14T01:59:31Z","employer_posted_date":"2026-09-14","last_verified_at":"2026-09-24T01:52:34Z","board_verified":true,"closed_at":null,"days_open":10,"trust":{"level":"ok","repost_count":null,"flags":[],"days_open":10},"description":"Coordinate and lead sample reception operations for a busy and modern laboratory as part of an integrated service adhering to best industry practice, regulatory guidelines, and SOP requirements.\nKey Responsibility Areas\nThe key responsibility areas (KRAs) are the major outputs for which the position is responsible and are not a comprehensive statement of the position activities.\nLaboratory Duties\nMaintain the laboratories in an efficient and well-organised manner\nManage clinical sample registers and/or relevant records in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS)\nSample Reception\nEnsure all aspects of domestic and international sample shipments and storage are conducted to a high standard liaising with Principal Investigators, Project Managers, Clinical Sites and clients as required.\nCoordinate and optimise the tracking of clinical samples in the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) ensuring training and correct use by scientists and support staff.\nEnsure equipment and systems are sufficient to track and monitor the storage of critical reagents and clinical samples across all storage environments including temperature-controlled environments for the duration of studies and as part of biobanking services.\nAs required: support Sample Logistics Officers by conducting sample receipt, retrieval or dispatch for internal testing and external shipments\nAssess and recommend shipping methods, routing or carriers to meet necessary parameters, specifications and costs\nData Analysis, Reporting and Document Work\nConduct sample reception metric analysis and provide clear interpretation of data to others\nPrepare, maintain and review policies, SOPs, systems and procedures to assure the quality and integrity of service offerings at 360biolabs\nMaintain records (LIMS, database and paper) to levels consistent with relevant standards and industry expectations\nMaintain records and produce reports to levels consistent with NATA accreditation, regulatory guidelines and industry expectations and communicate with clients and external bodies\nLeadership\nProvide leadership to drive the work ethic and culture of the sample reception team with a client and customer focus.\nProactively manage strategic relationships between internal resources and external entities such as vendors, service providers and partner organizations.\nManagerial oversight of multiple Sample Reception team members, including managing priorities, supervision, training and staff development, performance reviews, 1:1s and providing regular feedback\nParticipate in defining milestones (Company, Group and Project) and ensure activities are aligned to deliver goals\nAccreditation\nAdhere to ISO/IEC 17025, OECD Principles of GLP, GCLP Principles, 360biolabs’ Quality Management System, and other requirements as per NATA Accreditation and regulatory guidelines\nSafety\nEnsure the safe and efficient conduct of laboratory activities\nEnsure compliance to relevant internal processes and statutory requirements\nTeam Work\nCoordinate responsibilities and provide oversight for the day to day priorities and operations of the Sample Reception Team. \nCollaborate well in a cross functional matrix environment;
