The Farm Store is also an educational resource for the community on ecological, environmental, and food-related issues.\nThe Grab-n-Go Coordinator supports the daily execution of the Farm Store's grab-n-go food program. Working under the direction of the Chef and Kitchen Lead, this position helps ensure that grab-n-go offerings are prepared, packaged, labeled, stocked, and presented in a timely and attractive manner.\nThe successful candidate is organized, dependable, attentive to detail, and able to work independently while also collaborating closely with the kitchen and store teams. This role is a great fit for someone who enjoys hands-on food preparation and takes pride in providing customers with fresh, high-quality food.\nSchedule\nFull-time\nWeekend availability is required\nSchedule may include weekends and other days based on the needs of the Farm Store; specific schedule to be discussed during the interview process\nKey Responsibilities\nSupport the daily preparation and execution of the Farm Store's grab-n-go program under the direction of the Chef and Kitchen Lead\nPrepare grab-n-go offerings according to established recipes and specifications\nPortion, package, label, and present products accurately and consistently\nMaintain grab-n-go selections throughout the day, ensuring products are fresh, attractive, and well-stocked\nMonitor product levels and communicate production needs and low-stock items to the Chef or Kitchen Lead\nFollow established food safety, storage, cooling, sanitation, and labeling procedures\nMaintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen, equipment, and work areas\nHelp ensure consistency in product quality, taste, appearance, freshness, and presentation\nProvide welcoming and attentive customer service when interacting with Farm Store customers\nWork collaboratively with kitchen and store staff to support smooth daily operations\nCommunicate quality concerns, workflow issues, and other needs to supervisors\nSupport ordering, stocking, inventory, receiving, or other kitchen-related tasks as needed\nAttend department meetings and contribute to positive team communication\nPerform additional tasks as assigned by the Chef or Kitchen Lead\nQualifications\nPrevious food preparation or food service experience preferred; experience in a deli, restaurant, café, or catering operation is a plus\nStrong attention to detail and organizational skills\nAbility to follow recipes, procedures, and established standards\nAbility to work independently, follow through on commitments, and manage multiple priorities\nAbility to take direction and work collaboratively as part of a team\nClear and effective communication skills with supervisors, coworkers, and customers\nRegular and predictable attendance\nWeekend availability is required\nWillingness to learn and adapt to changing job requirements\nAbility to safely use kitchen equipment and work in close quarters with other staff members\nAbility to stand for extended periods of time\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds\nBasic computer skills preferred\nPhysical Requirements\nThis position requires standing for extended periods, repetitive motions, working in close quarters, safely using kitchen equipment, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
