Sophie Belin and Yannick Poitelon, is seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow to join an NIH-funded project investigating how PMP2, a fatty-acid chaperone, regulates Schwann cell metabolism and the formation and maintenance of peripheral nerve myelin. They analyze data, prepare figures, and contribute to manuscripts, while also presenting their research at local, national, and international conferences. Fellows participate in the preparation of grants to NIH and foundations under the supervision of Drs. Belin and Poitelon, collaborate closely with both PIs, and assist in mentoring students and research assistants.\nRequired qualifications\nCandidates must have a PhD in Biology, Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics, Physiology, Neuroscience, or a related field with a strong hands-on laboratory skills.\nThey should be able to design experiments, interpret data, and communicate findings clearly. We are seeking candidates that can work both independently and collaboratively in a dynamic research environment.\nStrong preference will be given to applicants with:\nExperience with Schwann cells, myelin, or peripheral nerve biology.
