Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nBuilding Maintenance Technician - Madison, WI\nLabcorp is seeking a Building Maintenance Technician to join our Facilities team in Madison, WI!\nSchedule: Monday-Friday 7:30am-4:15pm\nflexibility to work overtime as needed\nJob Responsibilities\nPerform corrective and preventive maintenance activities across facility buildings and grounds\nTroubleshoot and repair engine-powered equipment, vehicles, and low-voltage electrical systems\nInterpret blueprints, plans, and conceptual drawings to complete construction and repair projects\nDocument maintenance activities accurately within facility maintenance management systems\nCollaborate with team members and facility staff to plan, coordinate, and complete repairs and improvement projects\nProcure materials and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and supplies\nPerform a variety of general building maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting activities\nEnsure tools, equipment, and work areas are maintained in a safe and organized manner\nFollow all company safety policies and procedures\nMinimum Qualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n2 years or more of experience in facilities maintenance, building maintenance, or related experience\nWorking knowledge of general maintenance techniques, equipment, and repair processes\nExperience using hand and shop tools safely and effectively\nStrong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills\nAbility to maintain accurate records and documentation\nPreferred Qualifications\n2 years or more of experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS) or other maintenance tracking software\n2 years or more of experience troubleshooting low-voltage electrical systems\n2 years or more of experience reading and interpreting blueprints and construction drawings\n2 years or more of experience performing preventive maintenance in a commercial, industrial, or laboratory environment\nBasic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs\nAdditional Job Standards\nDemonstrates strong attention to detail and organizational skills\nMaintains a customer-service mindset when working with internal stakeholders\nAdheres to all safety, quality, and compliance requirements\nAbility to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment\nReliable attendance and punctuality\nAbility to lift, carry, push, and pull equipment and materials\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team\nComfortable working in animal research facility\nPay Range: $24-$28/hr.\nAll job offers will be based on a candidate’s skills and prior relevant experience, applicable degrees/certifications, as well as internal equity and market data.\nBenefits: Employees regularly scheduled to work 20 or more hours per week are eligible for comprehensive benefits including: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement and Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
