Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nEHS Manager\nLabcorp is seeking an EHS Manager to join our new CMC facility in Mechelen, Belgium.\nJob Responsibilities include:\nAct as the site's Internal Prevention Advisor and trusted EHS subject matter expert.\nLead and continuously improve EHS management systems, compliance programs and site safety culture.\nServe as Biological Safety Coordinator, overseeing contained-use activities, biosafety risk assessments, training and regulatory submissions.\nManage laboratory, production and contractor safety programs including risk assessments, emergency preparedness, chemical safety and incident investigations.\nEnsure compliance with Belgian EHS, environmental and biosafety regulations, permits and corporate standards.\nPartner with leadership teams to drive performance, deliver training and achieve EHS objectives.\nLead audits, inspections, regulatory visits and corrective action programmes.\nMinimum Qualifications\nPrevention Advisor Level 2 certification in Belgium\n6 or more years experience managing EHS programs within a regulated environment.\n4 or more years of experience in pharmaceutical, biotech, lab, chemical or life science environments\nStrong knowledge of Belgian health, safety and environmental legislation.\nExperience performing risk assessments and implementing preventive measures.\nThe ability to build trust and influence stakeholders at all levels.\nBachelor’s degree in science or technical field\nPreferred Qualifications\nPrevention Advisor level 1 qualification\n6 years or more experience professional EHS work experience.\n3 or more years experience of leading EHS processes and systems\nProfessional memberships/certifications e.g., EBSA\n1 or more year experience in biological safety for labs and/or bioproduction (risk assessment, containment CL2/CL3, GMO dossiers, training, incident management), with working knowledge of the Belgian contained-use requirements\nAdditional Job Standards\nExcellent communication skills in Dutch and English.\nGeneral knowledge of regional EHS laws and regulations.\nStrong command of Belgian Well-being at Work Code (Codex) requirements and internal service (IDPBW/ISPPW) practices.\nStrong knowledge of regulations involving one or more laboratory EHS fields such as chemical, biological, radiation or equivalent.\nStrong document management skills and attention to details.\nStrong influencing and training skills.\nProficiency in computer programs/software such as Microsoft Office.\nMust have ability to plan, prioritize, and complete multiple projects in a deadline driven environment.\nAbility to self-lead tasks to completion.\nMust be able to work well in a team environment or independently.\nComfortable with public speaking opportunities to varying audiences.\nAt Labcorp, we are helping to advance healthcare and bring innovative therapies to patients worldwide.
