Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nIntern-Animal Operations\nLabcorp is seeking an Intern-Animal Operations to join our team at Shanghai, China\nInternship Details:\nDuration: 30 weeks, full-time/Onsite\nDates of Internship: Oct 2026-Jun 2027\nCompensation: Paid internship\nEligibility: Final-year students who are expected to graduate in July 2027 are preferred.\nHowever, students at all academic levels who are pursuing relevant fields of study are encouraged to apply.\nAbout Team:\nThe Inlife-TOX department provides a range of services for clients including animal housing, observation, bodyweight and vital sign collection and sample collection.\nInternship Assignment Summary:\nMaintain good laboratory records according to SOP and GLP. Review data and identify potential problems.\nProvide and maintain inventory equipment, animals and supplies.\nMaintain animal Room and equipment compliance with GLP and AAALAC requirements.\nLearn how to identify, record, and review clinical observations, weight data, food consumption data, environmental data, and other data in appropriate data collection systems (or with manual input if necessary).\nLearn how to interpret protocol.\nLearn how to ensure research is conducted in accordance with protocols, SOPs and government regulations.\nLearn how to perform basic dosing techniques and restraint procedures.\nLearn to euthanize animals.\nIdentify deviations from expected results and take appropriate action.\nReport on all animal health issues and participate in resolutions and appropriate corrective action, as necessary.\nComplete other related tasks as assigned.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCurrent enrollment in a Veterinary Medicine or Biomedical Sciences associate degree program.\n3 months or more experience using computer and office software applications (e.g. Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)\nNeed to increase capacity by 50 pounds; Frequent lifting throughout the day; Standing for a long time; Extended hand manipulation, including, but not limited to, grasping.\nBe able to read, record and communicate observations accurately.\nMust be able to work with laboratory animals in the laboratory.\nMedical Certified Assistant Laboratory Animal Technician level is desirable.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nVeterinarian License\nCET-4 (College English Test Band 4).\nAdditional Job Standards:\nGood organization and multitasking ability.\nAble to communicate effectively with excellent verbal/written communication skills.\nExceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.\nCreative and self-motivated individuals who work collaboratively in a high-performance team environment.\nAbout the Program As a Labcorp intern, you’ll be immersed in hands-on work that complements your academic background.
