Together, we’re improving health and improving lives.\nLabcorp is seeking aLaboratory Business Continuity Intern to join our General Laboratory team in Geneva.\nWork Schedule:\nMonday-Friday.\n40hrs per week (with flexibility to consider an 80% working schedule).\nJob Responsibilities:\nWorking with laboratory teams and business continuity stakeholders, you will help define a global escalation process for operational disruptions, aligned with laboratory priorities, and develop a tool that guides teams through the appropriate response.\nReview business continuity information available, identifying gaps that require clarification with process owners.\nWork with laboratory stakeholders to identify critical activities, operational dependencies, and priorities that should guide escalation decisions.\nHelp define a consistent global escalation process, including escalation triggers, roles, communication pathways, and laboratory-specific requirements.\nDevelop and test a practical tool prototype that helps users identify the appropriate escalation steps based on the disruption and its impact on laboratory activities.\nAssess the proposed process and tool through representative disruption scenarios, gather stakeholder feedback, and prepare user guidance and recommendations for implementation and ongoing maintenance.\nMinimum Qualifications:\nCurrent enrolment in a Bachelor’s degree program in Operations Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.\nPreferred Qualifications:\nCurrent enrolment in a Master’s degree program in Operations Management, Business Continuity, Risk Management, Industrial Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline.\nAdditional Job Standards:\nYou must be a student and be eligible for an internship agreement with a third party.\nIntermediate level in English and in French required.\nInterest in business continuity, operational resilience, and laboratory operations.\nA structured approach to organizing information and translating complex processes into clear guidance.\nAttention to detail and willingness to verify incomplete or inconsistent information with the appropriate stakeholders.\nAbility to collaborate across teams and communicate clearly with colleagues from different backgrounds.\nInitiative and the ability to manage agreed tasks under supervision, communicate progress, and raise issues promptly.\nCommitment to confidentiality and following approved procedures when handling operational information.\nAbout the Team:\nThe General Laboratory team in Geneva supports laboratory testing for clinical trials, working across scientific disciplines and with colleagues who coordinate technical information and client requirements. During this internship, you will collaborate with colleagues to improve how teams share information, deliver data, and monitor their activities.
